Hey Everybody, I tried to post this on my phone and just discovered that it, or I, failed. Very sorry for that. I made reservations for a group tour of the Oklahoma City National Memorial and Museum, otherwise known as the bombing museum, for Wednesday, September 20th at 10:30 AM followed by the Outdoor Symbolic Memorial given by a park ranger outside a 12:00 noon. After which we can go to Toby Keith's restaurant for lunch down n Bricktown>

Unfortunately we have had to cancel as my treatment at MD Anderson has been changed and I will be having treatment at that time. We were looking forward to seeing everyone. Our trailer is still in Houston, high and dry, but we got stuck with Harvey and did not want to risk towing as soon as the roads opened last Tuesday. Paul and Nan
Okay, the latest is this: for all those who have their national park pass (Golden Age Passport) it will not apply at the museum because the museum is not affiliated with the Nationa Park Service, but a Oklahoma City entity. Now, with that said I have scheduled this as a group tour so we will get the tour rate entrance fee. The fee is $10.00 per person and in order to get this rate we MUST enter as a group! You can pay as you enter but I will have the authorization letter. We should que up and depart the campground at 09:45 hours and carpool/caravan to the parking lot. Folks I am excited to be sharing the tour with everybody. Maybe I can add some personal anecdotes too.At this time I have a preliminary head count for the bombing memorial of nineteen people. This is great!! Since parking in downtown OKC is at a premium it will be better if we carpool . There is a parking lot near the memorial which requires a few dollars and there is some on street parking as well. There is ongoing road construction in downtown OKC due to trolley track work and this may require snaking our way to Toby Keith's restaurant through downtown streets. Please bear with us as we try to make this easy as possible.
