Great Rally everyone. We really enjoyed seeing everyone again and the puppies had a great weekend of camping. A little expensive return trip. Blew a left rear tire on the truck which bent the rim and as the tread came off it bent the rear quarter panel of the truck from the front of the box to the tailgate. Oh well, it only metal and rubber. No injuries and even got to use the Good Sams Club. (That is not Good "Sam"antha Banstra that gave me the bunny ears in the group photo!)
Great job Dave and crew and thank you Heartland!

It is Monday after the rally and we still have folks here. Some are leaving today and a few are going to stay on to explore the area, there is alot to do and see in this area. We had another impromptu potluck dinner last night, it was followed by several campfire side chats. What a great time, We have to head home today ourselves.

Dave - awesome rally. Thank you for the great effort put forth to make this a great event. Nancy I really enjoyed ourselves. And the potlucks have not yet ended. Great potluck dinner last night for the rally hold overs. Most of us got together at our site for an impromptu breakfast gathering today.

Phil and Becky - so sorry to hear about your blowout. Terry last rally and now you this rally. Who's next?

Tomorrow (Tuesday), we're heading to Gettysburg, PA for a few days and will push into the Williamsburg, VA rally on Tuesday of rally week.

Everyone be safe.

We arrived home about an hour ago, safe and sound nothing exciting along the way. We did see a Big Country off to the side of the road, was going to stop but they already had what looked like a tire truck there.

[/FONT]While at a rest stop having lunch we saw Richard and Virginia Naigle roll up for a break also.

I almost forgot we signed up a new Heartland Owners Club member at the rally, Ricky & Leslie Payne from North Carolina. Their member number is 1688. They have a North Trail

Travel safe everyone.

What a great rally:):) Dave - the man of the hour - fantastic job!! We had a blast seeing everyone again and sorry that we will miss the VA rally. This got to be a little expensive rally in that we went ahead and ordered a new coach thanks to RVS for Less. Keep your fingers crossed that everything will fall into place and we will have it before Goshen.
Phil - sad to hear about the truck but very happy that ya'll are safe. That could have turn out very ugly.
For those that are still at KOA, have fun and don't eat too much.

When doing the Heartland P&L for Jim (yes I have to do one also) I thought it would be interesting to do a state count, so here is the breakdown:

VA=10,GA=5,SC=4,NC=3,PA=2,FL=2,TN=2,MD=2,NJ=2,WV=1,CT=1

I will have to check with Larry, I thought he said we had 36 or 37 units at the rally.

We made it home to Appomattox today, and what a great rally and wonderful time we had with our Heartland family in Cherokee. Thank you Dave for putting together such a great rally. Thanks also to Heartland for supporting our addiction, and thanks to Butch and Karen from RV's For Less for providing so much time, effort, and gifts that made this rally stand out. Sorry to hear about your tire misfortune Phil, but glad to know that you and Becky are OK, sheet metal and rubber can be fixed and replaced. Congratulations Byrd and Nathan, can't wait to see you in Goshen with your new BC. We had such a good time, so much good food, we could not have found any better way to spend time with so many of our close friends. We missed you Terry and Renee, but our prayers and good wishes for you and your family for speedy and full recovery. We did stay a few extra days to visit the Smokey Mountains, and even made time to visit the Cherokee casino. We had a good lunch buffet, and Dorothy and Cindy left with winnings in their purses. How great is that!

This was our first Heartland Rally and enjoyed the preparation, coordination and fellowship very much. We have been to many other RV rallies and this one was very enjoyable. We appreciate everything David Yocum and his team did.
