First Trip with Big Country 3250 TS

Spent last weekend in Asheville for the first time in our 2009 Big Country 3250 TS. Had a great time and really enjoy the space and quality of this fifth wheel. Stayed at Bear Creek RV Resort and Campground and totally enjoyed being there.

Will now be moving out of this Welcome section (unless responding to someone else).

Welcome to the family of 3250's. We had ours out about 2 weeks ago and will be out again later this month. Trying to get as much use out of it before hurricane seasons really starts up.

Glad to hear that ya'll had a great time. Isn't Asheville fun? Lots to do. Hope you will enjoy your 3250 as much as we do. Just spent 17 days in May going west and now getting ready to head to Bristol for the races. If you ever come over to Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg area, give us a holler and will come join you.

We take delivery of our 2011 Big Country 3250TS later this coming week once the dealership has completed the PDI and installed slide toppers. Had a 2005 Cardinal 5'r before this and had lots of issues right off the bat but eventually it gave us good service. Hopeing our experience with the Heartland product will be off to a better start.Unfortunately, being late in the season we won't get to actually use the unit until April or May 2011. Is there anything we should pay particular attention to when we pick it up??

Welcome to the Heartland Owners Forum and Family. We have a great bunch of people here with lots of information and all willing to share their knowledge if needed.

When you go for PDI and pickup, make sure you do a really good inspection and they fix anything you find before you depart.

Meanwhile enjoy the forum.

We have the same rig model that you have, and we love it. We've installed a small chest freezer in the center of the clothes closet, and we unscrewed the table from the floor so we could turn it a quarter turn and both sit and look out the window while we eat. Also, when we have company, we just pull it out into the center of the room. We've also replaced our noisy ceiling fan with Home Depot's small Hunter equivalent--and love it. Tomorrow we leave for San Benito, TX for the winter (five months) and we never get cabin fever in our rig. We also spent 8 weeks going to Illinois, Indiana, Tennessee (Int. rally), Frankfort, KY, Gettysburg and Lancaster PA in June and July, then we went to Mt. Airy for two weeks in Sept/Oct. We use our home on wheels. I hope you enjoy ours as much as we do.

Hi Lew2885...Appreciate your tips. I will check the noise level of the ceiling fan before I accept delivery. After unscrewing your dinette table I presume it's necessary to refasten it for travel?

We leave our table unscrewed and it travels fine.
