Fixing the bottom rail on slide

Hey guys,
Need some help, I know someone did this and I can't find the thread for it. They put a piece of metal flashing under the rail of the slide when the bottom of the slide started coming loose. I know Heartland does have a fix, however I seem to remember someone used like a drip rail to put under the slide and it worked fine. Thanks for any advice or suggestions.
