Flooring replacement question

Has anyone replaced their flooring with luxury vinyl planking? If so, how did you raise the slide up enough to get the flooring all the way to the edge beneath the slide?

We lifted the carpet on the floor of the slide outs and took the flooring to the edge of the opening where the floor drops down.....

Did you then secure the bare edges down via glue, staples, nails or otherwise?
