Front Landing Jacks On 3950-replacement

My Front Landing Jacks Groaned And Would Usually Pop The Breaker Two Or Three Times When Lifting The Unit. I Had An Electrictian Measure The Amperage And The Motor (fused At 30 Amps) Was Pulling 42 Amps. I Contacted The Dealer And They Talked To The Factory Which Sent Out A Larger Motor. This Has Cured It Popping The Breaker. The New Motor Is About Twice As Big As The Old One But It Is Quite Slow Too, Must Be Geared Slower But It Does The Job.

My dealer is putting in a new motor on mine also, havent had it done yet, had to be ordered. Glad to hear it works.

Access To Lifting Motor On 3950

When Your Dealer Goes To Replace The Motor, You Will See The Generator Compartment Makes It Really Hard. Have Them Remove The Black Basement Panel On The Generator Side (about 8 Screws) And Then They Will Have Good Access.

I have the same problem with my motor popping fuses. I will call the dealer tomorrow. Thanks for the insight.
