Full Body paint fenders...another option!

For those who have full body paint like we do, you probably already know how "delicate" they can be, and the thought of trying to replace them, which means having to have them painted...well, we found a really good, inexpensive option.

After several years of traveling and the fenders, which often come loose at the hangers, starting breaking around all the screw attachment points...see the second picture. We contacted Heartland as we noticed the black, textured fenders being used on the Bighorn units...with all the black trim, i.e., awning arms, latches, etc...we gave them a try!

They look great...they are much less expensive and NO painting required....:)

We have already had to have both fenders replaced under warranty for the same reason you noted. RVs For Less ordered them and had their staff paint to match. They also added the brackets that I see Ken putting on in that our camper didn't have them originally which was part of the problem.

PS - Ken is also looking good :)

I want to thank you for posting the pictures and providing the information. My Landmark's fender skirts are cracking so I took your advice and called Heartland. The person I spoke to said that she has not seen any of the black textured skirts having to be replaced. As a result of your post and her comments I ordered a set for my Grand Canyon. Again, thank you for sharing what you did to your RV.
