Holiday Decorations

For those of us that are in our rigs over the holidays, I thought I would start a thread with pictures of our rig's holiday decorations. I bought an inflatable nativity scene from WalMart, and had it up on the roof for a while. But the stable "frame" never seemed to inflate correctly up on the roof, so I moved it down to the front of the hitch. I also installed one of the high-tech self-adhesive LED strips to the awning roller. This is pretty neat, and didn't cost much.

Here's a quick video of the new LED lights I found for our little 2' tree. They are 18 light sets, battery powered. I'll post a pic of the packaging next.

The tree isn't done, but wanted to show the lights.

They are multifunction with a timer, you can have them fade like this or blink or steady on. They are on for 8 hrs, off for 16, to conserve battery life. I strung the two sets alternately to get this effect.

Thanks much Bill, just ordered a couple of them. My wife is big on any kind of eye candy so she'll really like these.

BTW, I found out this morning that you CAN cut these strips to awning roller length and not hurt them (as long as you cut between the LEDS), and that a little Gorilla super glue assisting the self stick helps keep the strip on the metal roller.

More holiday decor:

Our wooden bears, Eileen and Brother, wearing their holiday headgear.

Stockings hung on the welcome sign with care, out of reach of the kitties. (They would steal them from the fireplace mantle and dunk them in their water dish!)

Twinkle lights at Lake Tawakoni State Park, East TX this weekend. We hope to get the light tour in tomorrow night before the rain. This is our decorations for the tour.
