Just got back from 3 weeks and 4k miles (our 5th trip this year) We love our 2011 21fbs. The only change we have made was to replace the showerhead. Bought a new one at lowes (10 bucks) and it works great. The original showerhead just didn't flow enough water. We tow with an 03 Dodge 1/2 ton with no problem. Although a diesel would be nice when going up mountains!
I have never bought an extended warranty on anything, have never regretted it. I do pay close attention to keeping things maintained properly.
