Our kitchen faucet is is a brushed nickel finish that is going bad starting to come off looks like chrome underneath finish. Has any has anyone redone finish? What did you use? Looks like a sprayed on finish over chrome. Plan on removing faucet to refinish counter tops will replace if I can't make it look better.

If you are going through the effort to refinish your countertops (I assume you mean resand them down to get the scratches out) I would think it a good time to replace the faucet.
If if your faucet is 5 years old and deteriorating it is probably due.
