Maxxis tires

Hello to all,

I am new to this forum and would like to get better info on tire purchase for my RV. As many of you know, this is a delicate subject.
I have had 4 blow-outs and am just worn out trying to find the right tire for my RV. Recently I read an article that stated that Maxxis tires are just about the best. Of course the tire dealer would agree.
Does anybody have any experience with this brand? Any info would help.

Thanks in advance.

I have been running them on my fully loaded work trailer for 3 years now. Just replaced them with another set like them. I run off road quite a bit and turn it awfully tight on a regular basis. This is the first set of tires on a trailer, I have literally wore out.

spagoman,

I have no experience with them but I know many Heartland owners who have went to Maxxis when it was time to replace their tires and I've heard nothing bad on them yet.

I put the Maxxis 235 80 16 on my Sundance last year after belts breaking on the Missions that came on it. I heard alot of good things on the Maxxis and on my Sundance I was pretty limited on what would fit.

The Maxxis ST trailer tires are a great value for a quality tire. I run them and they have been flawless, 15,000 mi on them so far with over 50% tread left. The E rated 235-80-16's are overkill for my lighter Sundance but they may be too light of tire for a BigHorn or heavier 5'ers.
What model RV do you own?

We have over 9k on our set that we put on and feel that they are the best. Looked at the Goodyear and Michelin tires but they were to large to fit as they would have touched. The Maxxis were the same size as the original ones and ran the same air pressures (80psi) We also added the TST pressure monitoring system for more security and peace of mind. I ordered them direct from Maxxis and they were shipped to a dealer who installed them for me. No cost on shipping.

I did a lot of research before purchasing Maxxis tires for our Sundance and have not been disappointed.

We changed to Maxxis a few months ago, after 3 of 5 of the original TowMax had issues. They immediately look like they are better constructed.

Last year we replaced the original Mission tires with Maxxis on our 24/5 Sundance. We have approx 20,000 miles on them towing across Canada and back thru the USA over all kinds of road conditions with no problems .They are 15 inch tires
Just the piece of mind knowing we had good tires for that long of a trip was worth it.

Would buy them again

Hey Butch. I put Maxxis on this summer before the regional @ Sparks. We are now full-timing and working our way south. Currently in Santa Maria. No regrets on the Maxxix.

I have read all of the comments here about Maxxis Tires, but my experience with them on my Road Warrior 405RW has been terrible, they wore out in about 8,000 miles of travel from Washington State to Arizona and back. I replaced them with the same size tire Goodyear G614 and they are wearing much better. I did have to change wheels as the original wheels could not handle the 110 psi. They are wearing great and have almost 6,000 on the Goodyear tires. I have a much heavier trailer than most of you on this thread.
