Re: New and could not find how to write...see I found one saying new thread so see if this works.
Hi asplus,
Sounds like you're talking about the stabilizers on the back. (Levelers would be heavy-duty to lift and support the weight of the trailer. Stabilizers just touch the ground to minimize movement after you're level.)
I'd suggest checking the voltage at the switch to see if youi're getting 12V DC. If so, that would eliminate looking for a fuse or circuit breaker.
If you don't have 12V DC at the switch, you might take a look near the battery for a buss bar with several 12V DC mini-circuit breakers. There's likely a 30 amp breaker that provides power to the stabilizers. I've attached some pictures to help you spot them. Yours will probably look a little different than what's pictured. The power comes on the bottom (or side) where the copper buss bar connects the breakers. You should be able to measure 12V DC on that copper strip. Then check the other terminal on each breaker to see if you're reading 12V going through each breaker. It's unusual, but a breaker can fail.
If you do have 12V DC at the switch, you may have a problem inside the motor. If you tow in wet conditions, water can splash against the motor housing and a little may get inside. Some of us have opened the motor and found that the springs pushing the brushes against the armature have corroded and broken. When that happens, the motor won't run. New motors are expensive, but several of us have replaced the broken spring with 1/2 of a spring from a ball point pen. Then we seal the opening so it doesn't happen again.
