If one is going to operate slides and landing gears in very cold weather, it would be a good idea to remove the current transmission fluid and replace with synthetic transmission fluid. Synthetic transmission fluid has a pour point of -60 F. Petroleum Transmission fluid has waxes in the fluid and the pour point is - 15 F to - 30 F depending on the brand.
Just wondering what kind of PDI checklist you used? We pick up ours in 1 week and will need to start looking for 'what to check' as well... unfortunately, it'll be going straight from the dealer, to an RV storage facility... thoughts?
The dealer that we used (Woody's RV) had a VERY comprehensive checklist. The techs spent an entire day going through the entire coach front to back, and bottom to top. They found a couple of issues that are being dealt with via factory ordered parts. Then the salesman and the tech that did the dealership PDI did a 3.5hr walk through with us and went over every detail with us as well including several practice hook ups and unhooking and levelling the coach.
Just picked up our key largo yesterday... So far the shower leaks like a fauset where the door slides, hopefully that's an easy fix today.. Other wise so far so good... It's quite nice to look at.
