New bighorn slide creep during travel

Hi all....just picked up new BH this week and have left the area of the dealer and discovered slide creep on both hydraulic slides. Fluid lebel perfect and no obvious leaks. Any other suggestions....we have tried to purge air by running slides in and out but no apparent help.

I have noticed that the slides are a bit out of alignment and will be adjusting, but not thinking that is related...other than the back /rear of the slides seal first, making them the tighter seal.

I suspect a leaky valve allowing pressure to back off a bit, and don't think there is much I can do other than get a mobile tech.....any other thoughts?

Thanks...celt

Full report on the delivery and all issues encountered soon...just got to the Keys from dealer and have to figure these issues out first.

This happened to one of the AZ Chapter members going to Goshen National Rally. Every 100 miles he would have to stop and move the slide in.
This was fixed at the Rally by Heartland. Not sure what the problem was, but you can PM username JoSmith and they will tell you what was required in the fix.
If I remember correctly it was an easy fix once diagnosed.

I have had the happen to me. It happened mid summer and I was not about to lay up my rig waiting for parts so as a temporary fix I used ratchet straps under the slides to hold them in place for travel.
The problem was one of the hydraulic cylinder had an internal leak allowing it to loose the pressure needed to hold the slide in place. Here is a PDF on diagnosis.

Peace

On the slide adjustment, if you can't get front and rear of the slides to close the same, you would want the front of the slide to be closing before the rear of the slide. That way when driving through rainy weather, the rain spray is definitely sealed off from the front of the slide going into the wind.

My '09 BH did that and a tech suggested to hold the switch an extra few seconds after the slides have closed. He said that would help purge air out. Worked for us and only happened a couple more times.

Thanks everyone. We made it to our destination, and Heartland has authorized a mobile tech. Hopefully will have the job done today. Lippert advises likely a cyl bypass issue.
