New Flooring

I think ours is 3mm. No smell to speak of. We have a couple 1/4 inch thick chipboards with rubber shelf liner glued to one side that we put down on the floor for the slides to ride on. The slide runners were quickly eating up the surface where they rode on them in transit (and some scratching from putting the slides in and out).
Thanks so much for your reply. Just to clarify, you put this 1/4" strip right along the outer edge of the new floating tile, so the slide's carpet hides it when the slide is open? We plan to leave the slides carpeted. The carpet on the slides in our 3400 Bighorn overlap the fixed carpet by about 2 and 1/2 inches when open. This seems to be the only critical part . . making sure the slides don't scratch up the newly laid vinyl flooring. Thanx in advance for your advise . . .
