So at the "sticks & bricks" we participate in the "Greenlight A Vet" campaign by having green LED bulbs on our garage and have been wanting to add a green light to our Cyclone. The Commander decided she wanted it in the stairwell and I think it turned out pretty nice.

First I removed the control panel and spliced in to the porch light switch (lower right yellow connector in picture).

Then I removed the basement panels and fished the wire down from the control panel cabinet in to the basement.

Then I found an access down to the J-wrap to route the wire.

Using a anger taped to the wire I fished it down and back on top of the J-wrap to the stairwell.

Drilled a hole in the frame for the ground wire using a 5/16" self tapping screw.

Tested to ensure the LED strip (purchased at Advanced Auto) was going to operate as desired before mounting with two sided adhesive tape (that came with the strip)

SUCCESS!

Several things coming together at the same time (as well as all the broken ramp post) conspired to cause me to modify our ramp. The poor mounting design along with a severe ramp angle, and the commanders lowered Harley hitting one of the bolts while loading causing the bolt to cave in to what appeared to be an already weak area.

Only time will tell if I did enough but I thought it came out pretty good. Anyway I did a write up on our page about it if you want to check it click this link https://www.facebook.com/pg/SSRVAdventures/photos/?tab=album&album_id=1496055077151527 :)

Upon our return from the Ohio rally the after operations inspection revealed an elongated shackle mounting hole on the right rear. A MORryde Heavy Duty Shackle upgrade kit has been ordered and is supposed to be here Thursday. Installation details to follow soon. :)

I bought a set at the rally in Canyonville and then won a set at the Jackson rally a week later
Now I just need to install them.

Nice job on the shackles. Mine are waiting in a box right now.
Thanks Bones. It wasn't a too bad of a job. I had one old bushing that I had to ream out of the equalizer and I still got it done in an afternoon even working at my slow arsed pace. LOL

If you have level up that makes things a lot easier. The wife has dictated that I get the house ready for selling and that has been taking all my free time. I hope to get this mod done by next camping season.
