Poncho's Pond in Ludington Mi

We are heading for Poncho's Pond in the near future. Anyone have a favorite site or area to camp in the campground? I would like to be able to drop the toy hauler ramp and take in a view of the pond. CG looks pretty big. I read the rally thread and saw the notes on Old Hamlins, House of Flavors, and Scotties. Any recommendations for what to do, area attractions you recommend?

We were there last summer for a couple of nights; it's a lovely park. However, be sure to use a good water pressure regulator as we had a bit of a problem there with high water pressure back-flowing through the pump with our old regulator.

We spent one summer looking for the best pan fried perch on Lake Michigan.. We visited every port town from South Haven to Mackinaw. The absolute best was at Michaels, downtown Ludington... Get the Pan Fried with garlic....

Well, false alarm. Turns out they are FULL for the dates we were going to visit. This park is on our bucket list, but it will not be this year. Thanks for the input.
