Jumping into the fray...I'll repost how I remounted mine. Initially, I had the dealer install it and they put it right behind the breaker panel, with the remote display in the switch cabinet (no problem seeing it there). When I decided to move my converter out from under the toilet tank flush anti-siphon valve, I also remounted the suppressor. I cut a section of 3/4" plywood and mounted it to the side of the stair framing behind the basement wall. Then attached both devices to that. Doing so keeps them away from any possible water leaks and made the converter fuses more accessible and put the cooling fan in a cleaner spot. To reposition the suppressor, I used a section of 6ga. cable I had left over from a wiring job I did in my home garage.
I also modified the basement walls to have access panels that can be easily opened to check behind. This one is in front of the stair mounting. The other is behind the UDC.
