propane tanks

I have 2 40lb propane tanks on ea. side of my 2012 Landmark Key Largo. Does the red bar on the display for tank fullness indicate that tank which the lever is directed to is empty when it completely covers the indicator in red? Also, if the tank the lever is directed to is empty does it automatically switch to the other tank or does the lever have to be manually switched to the other tank?

Red means empty and it should automatically go to the other tank-don't forget to have the other tank open for the auto switch and turn your valve to the other tank when the first is empty. I always have both tanks open-hope that helps.
