RESOLVED: Fresh Water Tank Drain not Draining

Well last weekend hubby decides that the water in the fresh water tank needs to be drained. Why because the dealer filled it the end of October and we didn't even take it out for the first time until May. Water may be a bit old. So we find the fresh water drain, hubby turns the valve a quarter turn and nothing. Nothing comes out. Hmmm. Nothing.

So we're at home, have a sewer clean out right there next to where it sits on the side of the house. Hubby turns on the water pump, opens the faucet in the kitchen and drains the water that way. Also opens the low point drains at the same time as he dumps the gray tanks. Low point drains drain quite awhile before stopping as well.

So now the fresh water tank is finally empty, waiting to be prepped to refresh, but gotta figure out why the fresh water drain isn't draining. Any clues? Hubby is hesitant to cut out/remove the covering to find out. We have some local independent RV repair shops that we'll probably end up using. I really don't want to have to drive 2+ hours back to the dealer.

Sounds like it's clogged but how much of an ordeal will it be to do what is necessary to get into it to unclog it?

Open the drain valve and take a garden hose with nozzle attachment and hold up to it...wrap a rag around the two to seal and backflush. There could be a plastic cutout piece laying inside over the tank drainhole.

My fresh water drain had a mud dober nest in it, used a wire to clean it out, works great now.
