RESOLVED - Our Bed Won’t Lower or Raise

Our Bed slide works but the bed will not lower or raise. Also, the lights around the bed won’t illuminate when I turn on the switch. The storage (sub base) lights don’t work either. Not sure which fuse operates those things but we’ve traded out good fuses and nothing seems to work. At a loss. Does anyone know what to try next? Will have to call Heartland tomorrow but would like to fix it now. Thanks.

You may need to look at wiring connections under the bed platform. That's probably where the bed motor is located and the wiring for lights likely goes through there as well.

We fixed it! Bought a meter and texted ALL the fuses. Only one looked blown (which wasn’t the one in question). Using the electrical meter, we found 2 more burned out fuses. After we replaced all three, the problem was resolved and everything works! It was strange that two of the three fuses didn’t look blown but were...we found after checking all fuses with the electrical meter.

Yep, fuses sometimes look ok but are actually not ok. Always best to check with a meter.
