Hi Zurn and welcome to the forum. There are plenty of places to stay in the RGV. You should get a bunch of recomedations. We stay at Seven Oaks in Mission.

Your selection will depend somewhat on what you want from the park. Some parks offer lots of amenities and activities, and consequently charge more. Some offer very little, but then don't charge much. We stay at Tropic Star in Pharr, it has a great woodshop and many, many other activities.

We stay at a basic, no frills park in Mission. Very reasonable, Oleander Acres. Have stayed there the last two winters, reservations for this coming winter. They have a web site to check out. Good luck. Nan

Hello Zurn,We stay at Falcon State Park and workcamp in the Rec hall, Which is in the upper valley.more of a wild life and birding park great fishing if you like fishing. It is about 45 miles west of Mission,Texas,site prices are reasonable less crowd than the lower valley TRAVELER07

We've stayed at 7 Oaks as well. Nice park, quiet area and large sites. Lots of sand burrs but they're supposed to attempt spraying to control them better. If we were to return to the valley we might consider Bentsen Palm RV Park. As said, there are many parks from cheap no frills to very very nice. All depends on $$$$

that would depend on what you're looking for??? There are over 500 parks in the RGV...from no frills (very low cost), right on up to Bentsen Palm RV Resort (top of the line but not cheap)...give us a little more information, and we can certainly point you to what you desire...Kathy
