I hear ya Rick - but I like to take it to the next step and take lots of pics, review them all, edit as needed, notate them, write an article and post before and after pics. Make it sort of a how to for those who want to do it as well. Similar to what John did.

Very nice looking work. I have a few questions though. Does the frame close off the back of the newly created storage bin? Do you have the area sealed water tight? Is this above the under belly enclosure? We haven't picked ours up, so I'm trying to get an idea of the extent, as this looks like something we would like to add.
Thanks
Bill

Bill,
The frame does act as the rear enclosure and no, it is not water tight. We rinse our parts after use and put them away so I think this is a good thing. The compartment on our 3055RL that was factory installed was not water tight either. Also, we don't want to seal in any odors from the parts stored in there. The storage area is outside of the frame so there is no underbelly enclosure at that point. We just copied what we had on our other unit. Hope this helps you.

I am thinking that it might be possible, if space permits, to get a plastic container, cut it down(cut open one side), screw it down(somehow), and at least have that as some protection and containment. Have to look to see if this is possible..............

Thanks for the reply, and it does help. We will pick our BH up on the 15th, and this might be one of our first modifications.

Great Mod Deb and thanks for the link. I'm guessing he'll be running low on supply for those doors pretty soon/ I better get an order in for a few.

Ray, If you want the solid door be sure to mention that. Our door actually had the cut outs for the utility services like the electric reel door has. We siliconed them shut but the pic I linked was for a solid door.
