Shades/Blinds

Here is a silly question for you...do you travel with the shades up or down? I never gave it much thought and just left them down. After our last trip I noticed a couple of the plastic curtain tensioners were broken. Thought maybe it was from the blinds swaying.
Those curtain tensioners break real easy. I have a cure for that..Get a can of pipe cement that is made for both ABS and PVC pipe. I got mine at Lowes for around 5 bucks. While you're there get some #10 PANHEAD sheet metal screws abou 1" or 1-1/4" long. Just a small dab of glue on each piece press together til they are stuck and set them aside for an hour or two to dry. Replace the countersink head screws with the pan heads. You could even put a small flat washer under each screw. They all break in the place. It's from the screws trying to force the tensioners apart due to the countersink style of screw head. I travel with my blinds down and haven't broken anymore clips since I repaired them and changed screws...Don
