I just got rid of my Allison for the Aisin.
They both do what they are supposed to.
I can't say one is better than the other.

Peace

As of now, it looks like Ford is winning this one, 7 DRW and 4 SRW for a total of 11, Ram 2nd with 6 DRW and 3 SRW for a total of 9. I guess GM owners are all out using their rigs over the Holidays and not sitting home reading the RV Forums. GM only had 1 SRW.

I'm sure the other GM truck owners will chime in before long . . .

Before I got my new Chevy Silverado in August, 2014, I was pulling with a 1996 Dodge Ram 1500 4x4 (my last three trucks were Dodge) . . . but it's Ram Tough had turned into Ram Tired as it just couldn't handle the Rocky Mountains anymore with the trailer in tow as it had 164,000 miles on it when I sold it.

I do miss that truck as it was probably my most favorite vehicle that I've ever owned since I bought my first car in 1977!

It now resides in Rochester, New York as the new owner has pulled his car collection from Denver to there (four trips and over 11,000 miles) and only a burnt out headlight bulb and headlight switch - most likely caused by a wiring issue in his car trailer.

Some shots of it in memorium:

EstesPark-IMG_2845.jpg CheyenneMtnCO2014-IMG_2007.jpg DodgeLastTime-IMG_20140901_194212486.jpg DodgeLastTime-IMG_20140901_194233999.jpg

First shot was us pulling out of the campsite in Estes Park, Colorado for what turned out to be it's last trailer pull for us, second shot at Cheyenne Mountain, Colorado this past spring, and the last two shots were taken just moments before the new owner pulled it away from our house for the last time!

If I still had the old Dodge, I doubt that we would even be attempting the pull to Arizona in three weeks for the Arizona HOC Rally in Quartzsite!

Wow us GM guys are late to the party.... So here goes ...
2015 GMC Sierra Denali 3500 CC DRW picked up last week
since then the windows have been tinted, Firestone air bags and air lift wireless air installed, TPMS, B&W companion, and Bakflip Fibermax folding tonneau installed. It's maiden tow test will be hauling our cyclone to Florida in March ...can't wait

Here is my 2015 F350 Ford Super Duty SRW, 6.7 Power-Stroke Diesel Lariat, FX4, with ALL the options and packages. This truck tows my 2013 Key Largo with little effort. No need for air bags or aftermarket helper springs, the truck only drops an inch when hooked up. Towing I get 13.4 and not 15.6 to 17.2 I previously owned a 2012 Ram DRW that needed air bags to keep from sagging.
