Shower Leaking - How To Disassemble Parts?

My shower appears to be leaking, spurting water just below where the shower head hose screws on to the water source (mixer valve?).

My question is, how do you take apart the components to find and replace the leaking part/s? The tap handles don't appear to have any screws holding them in place, so do you simply pull them off, or perhaps turn/rotate them them in the opposite direction used to turn on the water?

Once the handles are off, do you then just pry off the box covering the water supply lines beneath? I don't want to just experiment on a method in case I break the plastic parts.

Your help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I used a knife to gently pry the "C" and "H" off the handles, then there is a phillips screw inside. Unscrew it and pull off the handle. Make sure the water is turned off then there is a large nut that will come off and then the guts of the faucet will come out. To take the entire faucet off, you'll have to open the access panel and reach inside to unfasten the water lines.
