Slide Arm welds

Today I was running one of the slides in and it seemed to bind and jerk in one spot. I looked underneath when we got home and to my surprise I found a weld that had no penetration and had just let go. Took it apart so I can take the piece to work tomorrow and get it welded back together. My question is can I unhook both slide arms and let the slide support itself till tomorrow without a problem. I want to take the other one off too and have it rewelded since I'm under there anyway.

I am thinking you would need to stabilize and secure slide unit prior to removing either and/or both. Once secure and stabilized then removal for repair should be ok. Just mark numerous locations incase there is slippage and alignment needs to be re-confirmed prior to restoring unit back into operation.
