My Greystone 29mk kitchen slide bracket that attaches the slide rail to the slide broke at the weld. The forward one broke and I can see stress fracture marks on the rear bracket now too. I'm planning on having both welded and adding a gusset to add some rigidity to the connection. Anyone how there having a similar issues?

I wonder why they didnt put in a gusset in the first place.

UPDATE: Today I took my Greystone to a truck repair shop in Sydney Mines, Nova Scotia for repairs. They did a great job, they welded up the fracture, ground it down and added a 1/8 inch of steel to the existing bracket, shaped in a horse shoe to add the necessary rigidity need to keep it from fracturing again.

Anyone with a kitchen slide or a heavy slide should check their brackets. Have someone open and close the slide and watch the ends. If the metal is flexing, then you should consider an upgrade to avoid a breakdown like I had on Newfoundland. Not too many repair shops over there.
