Splendide 2100 xc washer pump

Hi all,

Has anyone replaced just the pump on their washer. Splendide wants to sell me the entire pump and housing, but I'm trying to find just the pump.

Does anyone have a model number for just the pump, I see a few on Amazon, but they are for an LG or Kenmore.

Thanks.

I would use the model # of the washer and check for the pump at online appliance parts sites. You can search sites on google and see if it is available separate. You may just find that they are sold as a unit and not separate pieces. At least I haven't found any when I searched as an appliance repair technician myself. If nothing else the unit may be cheaper if found on appliance sites. Try https://www.appliancepartspros.com/

P.S You might find Splendid is the only source as I remember the last time I needed a part I went through Splendide.

I did pull it out and it had this Grey goo in it, cleaned it all out and tried to find the numbers on Google, it took me right to Amazon of course. Most of the pumps look the same, so I picked 1 that has the best reviews. It's only $30.00 compared to Splendide wanting $140 for pump and housing.

So I bought a pump off of Amazon that looked like it would fit, I didn't.

So I just called Westland sales and bought the replacement from them for $139.00.

As I thought it would be the way you'd have to go. Splendid suppler was the only place I could find parts for a combo washer/dryer I was working on. Many of these pumps look the same from a photo online but are much different when you have them in hand. Hope the new one fixes your problem.

I bought a replacement from Westland Sales here is the one I have. I thought this one had gone bad but wasn't the problem.
Something in that washer makes a dickens of noise at the start of the emptying cycle.

Splendide support tried to tell me it was a bearing in the motor or the drum, I disagreed with him and I don't think he liked that.

Try setting the knob to drain, no water, and see if it makes the noise. If not, set it for spin, no water, and see if it makes the noise then.

So, there is the chance the Splendid tech was correct about the drive motor or the tub bearing. Typically noise on the drain cycle is either the drain pump or the tub bearing on washers of any brand. An experienced tech would be able to determine by the sound. I can't remember when I heard a drive motor bearing noise. They just seize up or trip the breaker. If you turn the tub by hand and hear the noise, then I'd say it is the tub bearing. You could even try removing the belt to eliminate the drive motor. If it is the tub bearing, good luck. Even if the bearing is replaceable it will take special tools to pull it and install a new one. Most likely the tub would have to be replaced. A lot of work and $$$

The board is in, and the wife is checking it out whilst the pump is draining placed my fingers on the pump and I believe that's what is making the loud noise and this is a new pump.
