Store TT with slide open or close?

We store our Wilderness TT in our yard and we go in and out of it often and store the camper with the slide out. Will this hurt us in the long run? Thanks!!

I wouldn't think so, but we store ours in the yard as well always hooked up to shore power. We keep the slide closed except for loading, unloading, or cleaning or repair. I primarily do this to keep the debris from building up on the top of the slide, and to free up the space in our parking area that the slide takes up.

Also do not think it would hurt anything being open.I leave ours closed I figure it is less exposed to weather and animals. Also keep it connected to power.

Our slides are hydraulic. The manual says to spray silicone on the cylinder rods every two weeks when left open. I suppose to keep from rusting. Otherwise I can't see a problem.

We winter camp with our unit at a membership campground in western Alberta. The slides are left out from October to May and have never had a problem.
