The Day They Froze Old Dixie Down

(No trailer attached) We've driven in what appeared to be fog on US 287, headed to Amarillo, temp reading 33,34... only to have it turn into ice on the roads. With a light brake tap, we did a 180! Luckily no one around us and we didn't hit anything... Not long after that, traffic came to a halt, as multiple 18 wheelers jackknifed and blocked the road. It doesn't take much ice to cause havock.

Texted a friend of mine in Minnesota and asked him what the weather was like. He texted back and said it was cold but he was glad that he wasn't in Atlanta.

John, sort of.....there was rain and warm roads before the freezing started with the snow. It has been interesting listening to all the complaints from some native Alabamians about the snow being still on the ground for a second day (I am originally from Kentucky).
