Buying local does bring some advantages when it comes to follow up service and warranty claims. Even in the depressed economy of the past year, you will see a lot of complaints on this website of many dealers who provide either none or very slow service to owners who did not purchase the unit from them. As the economy and rv sales pick up, which is currently happening, I imagine that this problem of followup service will only increase.
