Touring Louisiana

We are spending six weeks touring Louisiana. There is so much to see and do here until we probably couldn't see it all in 3 months much less the 6 weeks we have alloted for our trip. I guess we will have to come back another time to see the sites we missed on this trip. Right now we are camped in Berwick at Cypress Lakes RV Resort. I don't know how long they have been opened but it is a nice park, roomy sites but the only drawback for us is lousy TV reception if you only have an antenna. We spent 5 days at Bastrop, a week at Marksville and nine days at Port Allen before camping here. We will be here for one week - site seeing and visiting with relatives, then we will move up to Lafayette. Do you have any favorite places to site see in the Morgan City area? If so, please let me know as we will have a couple of days when we do not have anything planned.

A great place to stay is Poche Plantation in Convent: http://www.pocheplantation.com/index.php?e=5 The RV Park is on an old plantation... also lots of other plantations to visit in the area. The owner of Poche is quite an entertaining character.
