Stop #2 on our short tour of the NC mountains.... Yogi In the Smokies, Cherokee NC.

Took Hwy 19 off I40 through Maggie Valley because Google showed it as the best alternative to taking the Blue Ridge Pkwy. The truck handled it just fine but had some close calls with oncoming traffic. Will be taking Hwy 74 home.

I wish I could get a video to post. With the ramp down, backed up to the forest and sitting at the table in garage watching and listening to 130 cow elk with calves move by on their way to water in the evening. Boy they are talkative.

beautiful time of year up there. Love being in the forest when it rains! Our favorite herd is at reservation dam. Every evening they come out of the forest to graze..it’s beautiful
