wall switch on 36QBCK?

I've got a new 2013 36QBCK and i cannot for the live of me figure out one of my switches! I have a wall switch,similar to a regular house switch but it has 3 positions. When you turn it to the off position the microwave turns off. What is the purpose of this switch? Any ideas?

If you have the outside "camp kitchen" with a microwave the switch prevents both microwaves from being operated at the same time. Too much electricity for the wiring running both microwaves at once. Our Elkridge has just a two position switch. In the up position only the inside kitchen microwave is powered while in the down position only the camp kitchen microwave has power.
