You take your antenna off the mast every time you stow it?

Not sure what you're meaning by the antenna.

I take the LNB off to travel, then the pan with 4 nuts/bolts. That leaves the tripod and the part that screws into it (which has the markings on it for azimuth, skew, etc. and also the arm). I take those apart. LNB I pack pretty carefully in padding. Pan lays on top of the top tote in the basement. Tripod goes in bag that it came in. What's left (is that the antenna??), I try to pack so that the arm doesn't have a chance of getting bent.

Bob, you need to save yourself some work and set up a folding LNB arm.
