PROBLEMS WITH TV RECEPTION --
I have a RCA HD flat screen TV. I get a very good picture but the picture goes bland and after about 10 seconds the picture returns and may last a few seconds or a few minutes and just continues to be off and on. I have checked the antenna connections and the TV adjustments I know and nothing helps. Does anyone know what the solution might be? (Do not have this problem when using salelite)

The GVRW for your truck is 7200#. This number includes the total weight of the truck, it's cargo, fuel, and all passengers in the truck. So! Let's say your truck weighs 6,000# add you & the wife (guessing here) 350#, fuel @ 8#/gal, 200#. All that is 6550#. Subtract that from the GVRW of 7200 leaves only 650 for cargo or hitch weight. Does this clear things up a bit? I think your choice of a smaller trailer is a wise one.

Ray thanks for the post- I'm now considering the 28bhs Northtrail tt now, they say it weighs under 6000- around 30 feet long.
I'm confused about the sticker on the truck said Gvrw 7200 and the trailer life report says it can tow 9200 - 500 for the bigger tires. Can you help me with this?

Jeff, Ithink you'll be pretty close to the limit when it comes to GVRW on your truck. Trailers always weigh more than their published weights and things are finally being done to make manufacturers put a sticker on that is more realistic. They are supposed to weigh the rigs after the build and the sticker will then indicate how much carrying capacity they have left. You still have to do the math and deduct that number from the trailer GVRW to determine empty weight. Now back to the question. While towing, your truck will more than likely be in 4th gear and not in OD. Your transmission will be the weak link. But there are other area's that are being pushed to their limits too. Brakes, springs, axles and tire capacities need to be considered. You also have to add the weight of all occupants, fuel, any other cargo, the dog and stuff in the truck bed. A good idea would be to take your truck to a scale ready to tow and see what it weighs. Subtract that from the trucks GVRW and see whats left. Compare that number to the hitch weight and add a couple hundred pounds for stuff in the nose of the trailer. Good luck with your decision.

Mike & Betty, I'm sorry to say we are not very computer saavy -- I can't even figure out how to post a message on the forum -- and I certainly hope you get this email. We currently do not have a camper -- ours was a total loss from Gustav, so we are in the market and are looking at Heartlands. We "think" we want a toyhauler -- altho we have no toys to haul I retired the end of June from Little Rock AFB as the court reporter. Alan is still working -- altho currently he has been off work since 1 Sep when he broke his heel washing the now destroyed camper!! I hope you get this email -- maybe you can help us learn how to do this right!!

I took delivery of a new 2009 3250 Big Country last week. In going over it I can't find any low point drains for the hot and cold lines. I have fresh water drain. The book says to open drains, but can't find any. Do I try to blow them out with air pressure? Any help is appreciated. Thanks

We went to Rocky Point (Puerto Penasco) south of Lukeville or Ajo on Hwy 85 in AZ.

It was only a couple of hours drive from the US border - lots of condos in the area being built. NIce golf course - shopping is pretty good. Right on the oecean this campground was. I would go with a group again - not as singles. Mexican army and poilce were posted every 30 miles or so on the highyway. Have a good trip there.

We sure have good weather here right now - when we came back in April from AZ, we had 1 day at home , then snow snow snow. Barry says - in like a lion - out like a lamb. So far so good.
