Hi Tom,

Put Jim and Bette McGee down for a good time.

Do we reserve our site with you or Alamo Fiesta?

TomMar
03-22-2012, 06:18 PM
Great Jim ! I have you down.
Alamo has asked for me to turn in the list of attendees 30 days before the rally. They have had problems with campers making reservations ahead of time and not being recognized as rally members.
After I turn the list of names Alamo will check you off as you check in.

PS - I now have a set od "McGee Lights" on the side of the KL so I owe you a drink or two...

Please place Jerry and Diane Talley on the list for this rally. Hope to have health issues at a point where we can enjoy all that RVing and rallies have to offer.

Boerne will be a good location for a fun time. Let us know if there are days before or after that can be included in the group rally site.

PS: I also have a set of "McGee Lights" and while I give credit to Jim... I have not paid the royality fee. But, I am willing to spring for a beer.

Thanks

This is only about 35 miles away from our first retirement destination! Since we will be on a pretty strict military retirement budget and will already have paid for the month of October I'm not sure if we will actually stay at the park - but you can count on us being there to meet some new Heartland friends (and enjoy time with old ones too!)...oh yeah...and of course enjoy yummy potluck food too!

Jim & Joy welcome to the HOC. It will be great to meet new friends. We generally have these rallies twice a year, at various locations. It is great fun in a very relaxed atmosphere. I have you name down so you are registered. FYI the park will allow campers to arrive 3 days ahead of schedule and still get the rally site rate. We'll see you there.

Nick & Suzanne - I hope the tow distance is not too far. This beats my tow distance of 20 mi. when the call was in Houston. I think you will find our group to be pretty low key but fun . We will have a few things scheduled and you can attend if your mood strikes you. There will also be folks wandering around seeing old friends.

We look forward to meeting you.

BobSue - you have been added to the group - WELCOME ! ! I will be turning in the list to the park 30 days before the rally and with that list will be everyone's estimated arrival date. They have a separate rally area so if you change your mind it should not be a problem. In the mean time I will mark you down for one day early.

Hi everyone,

I know from forum posts that a lot of people haven't been able to get their TV audio to play through their surround sound speakers. I'd like to offer attendees help making the necessary connections and will be bringing a collection of various cable types to the rally. I'll have to ask you to reimburse me for cable cost (most will be $10 or less), but my time is free.

If you're interested, please send me a PM (I don't want to hijack the rally thread). It would also be helpful if you could dig out your TV and Surround Sound manuals or download copies from the manufacturer's website, so we don't have to guess about the menu settings that are needed.

We'll be arriving on Thursday afternoon and leave on Monday morning.

I'm looking forward to seeing you there.

gradually stir juice and egg into sugar mixture. Cook over medium
heat, stirring frequently, until mix comes to boil. Stir in lemon
juice and cool to room temp.
3. Meanwhile, cook pasta according to package directions; drain
and RINSE with COLD WATER to cool quickly. Drain well.
4. In large bowl, stir together pineapple juice mix and pasta. Cover
and refrigerate several hours or overnight.
5. Add pineapple chunks and crushed, oranges, 2 cups cool whip,
marshmallows and coconut. Mix gently and thoroughly. If using
cherries or raspberries, add last and be very gentle in mixing in.
Cover and refrigerate until cold.
6. Top with remaining whipped topping if desired and can garnish with cherries.

A big "THANKS" for the hospitable welcome you folks offered to Kathy and I.
We just stopped in (from SW Louisiana) to see what the PRO's pulled their rigs with. Got plenty of truck info and much more!
Again, thanks for the welcome and the helpful information for a couple of "soon to be rookies"

Tom and Marti, thanks for putting on a fine rally. We had a great time and learned that Heartland Owners really know how to laugh. I think if we'd had milk on Saturday night, Terry H. would have had it coming out his nose.

Thanks Tom, and I will let Zack and Kelsea (ZNK on the forum) know. I agree totally.
