OK! This weather is what I'm talkin about, warmer, less wind. Went to Buffalo today saw Work Kamper friends at Deer CG and drove up into the BIGHORN MTS Beautiful scenery. Looking forward to Wednesday at the Rally.

Jim,
My compliments to Brenda, HL service advisor at the front gate. She really knocked it out of the park.
I would like her supervisor to find out what a great asset she is to HL.

There had been an ongoing mixup on two parts for our BH. When I went to the front this morning she acknowledged knowing about the situation, but could not locate one of the parts.

At that time, without any protest from me, she stated, "I will do whatever I have to, even if I have to go to the dealership and take one off another rig".
As, it turns out, that was not necessary and she had two techs at my space within ten minutes. They fixed my issues in 15-20 minutes.

Now that is customer service I don't often see anymore.

Thank you, Brenda! Trace

Doubleringer, US 16 between Buffalo and Worland seems to be a little steeper than US 14 between Dayton and Greybull but both are good roads and are very pullable. Is that a word?? You really need to spend a couple of days in Cody at the Buffalo Bill Museum. It is incredible.

I failed to mention that at the happy hour for the service team last night, Claire Nichols made 4 large chicken pot pies and 2 large caramel apple pies - from scratch! They were amazing! Thank you Claire.

Heartland:
I would like to chime in with my thanks and awe at the terrific job the Heartrland service techs did here at the rally with my service request for 2 problems with my Flair Sofa/sleeper's drawer slides and latches. These 2 guys worked over an hour on this seemingly minor problem to GET IT RIGHT.

BTW, I can also recommend the vendor rig washing service here. They got stuff off the front of my rig that I thought was gellcoat damages. The price was fair, the service quick, the outcome pleasing!

Like always, the service team is AWESOME!!! JD & "Slide-out Mike" fixed my slide problem, that I thought was serious, and they said really wasn't that big of a deal. It's amazing/great that Heartland will send this many people with the service trailer this far to accommodate us with our service requests at no cost to us! I can't praise the service team & Heartland enough!

I want to add my praise for the Heartland service team and especially Jim Fenner. Jim has worked with us on a couple of more-than-minor issues we had and is batting 1000! Thanks!!

Add my appreciation, too, to the wash and wax team. They made our rig sparkle and are really easy to work with regarding scheduling.

Another great pre-rally day here in Gillette.

It's day 2 of service work and I continue to get great reports. I did speak to a couple of people who had issues that the service team is not equipped to or have not planned to handle. For those, it's unfortunate and I feel bad. But we can only do what we have planned to do.

Today was vendor load-in day. Before that could happen, Ken and Kathy Adams spent a couple hours laying out the vendor hall. Then Dave Y, Dave T, Terry H came over to assist in setting up tables in the hall. By noon, vendors were loading in and setting up. By 5, all but a couple vendors were all setup. Rally building opens at 7am for coffee and the vendors will be ready to sell by 8am. Come on down!

Terry H worked out some facilities details and setup/tested all the audio/video equipment in the areas we need it to work in.

Teresa Mitchell and her team of volunteers did a great job of creating table decorations. The rally hall looks great.

Thanks Nelly for the muffin for breakfast today.

A large number of rigs arrived today. Thank you Kevin Wolbeck, Al Larson and the team of volunteers that got all the rigs checked in and parked. We're at 106 rigs tonight!

Thanks Tom P and all for hosting another happy hour for the service team and anyone that wandered down.

Tonight, 54 of us met at Chop House Restaurant for dinner. A long wait but the food was awesome!

Below are a few pictures I took this morning. By the end of the day, the show coach area, vendor and rally halls really morphed. I'll try to add more pictures tomorrow.

Check-in Trailer - all attendees stop here to be checked in and receive their rally bags.
Check-In_Trailer.jpg

Just down the road from the Check-in Trailer is the Weighing Station. Howard and Linda Payne (RV-Dreams), working as agents for the RVSEF are performing the weighing service here.

In front of the Wyoming Center are 4 show coaches staged for final setup. Another 3 or 5 came in later in the day and they all got setup.

Here's the vendor hall before it got all setup. Pretty big space.

Here's the rally hall before the table decorations were made and added.

Here's the Frontier Hall Lobby where we have the Leisure Time Activities area all setup and ready to go.

Here's a shot of the Service Team area. It's in the Boxelder campground where we're all parked with our RVs. The RV is our Show Coach. We use it for RV shows and for these rallies. It's a toyhauler with no real interior. It hauls parts, carpets and such. The small shack next to the trailer is where the service management team is officing from. It's all working out quite well.

Today was the final pre-rally day here in Gillette. 132 rigs have been checked in as of tonight. I believe we are expecting 1 more whose having truck trouble and may arrive Friday.

The service team hit it hard today and have only a few RVs to service in the morning. Their plan is to load the bus around noon. They did a fantastic job!

The rally hall opened at 7am for coffee today and the vendor hall opened at 8am. The show coaches were opened later in the morning.

We had pretty brisk traffic in the halls and in the coaches. Tomorrow is the official first day of the rally! Coffee at 7, vendor hall at 8 and presentations and leisure time activities at 8.

See you at the rally!

Well, it's Friday morning and time for yesterday's update. Yesterday (Thursday) was the final day for rally service. The team rolled out around noon. They did an awesome job here and so many people are very grateful the team made it out here. Thank you Heartland Service!!

Yesterday began with coffee service in the Main Rally Hall and it kicked off our full rally program. We had a full day of presentations in the Main Rally Hall, a full day of presentations in the Leisure Time Activity Hall. The Vendor Hall was open all day as well.

Kevin, Terry and I had a small Truck Show outside between the building and the Show Coaches. We all have Classy Chassis upfit rigs and as Classy Chassis could not make it due to not having their 2 current in-progress trucks done, we decided to have some fun with ours.

The Show Coaches got a lot of traffic yesterday. In fact, 2 coaches were sold as I understand it. I'm not sure who the buyer was, but I was told the Bighorn Ti was sold as was the Bighorn 3855 FL (Rex and Stacy Hastey). Woohoo!

Remember - tonight is Rally T-Shirt Night. If you need to exchange your T-Shirt, please do so this morning before all the extra T-Shirts are sold. Also, get your Club Branded Goodies today as today is the final day of sales.

Today is another full day of presentations in both halls. The vendor hall, truck show and show coaches are all open as well. Tonight's meal is catered by ChopHouse. Tonight's entertainment is Kenny Miller.

Rally on!
