I am considering putting in 2 - 6 volt batteries in my bighorn as some of you have done. I am wondering will the stock converter/charger still be okay and the charging from my truck at 14.4 volts be okay since the batteries hooked in series will equal 12 volts. Who can explain why this is...
I always winterized the icemaker. I pump about 30 lbs of air into the line and turn the gears on the icemaker to force it through its fill cycle until I get no more water, just air, usually 3 times.
I have plugged tires for years and never had an issue. If it is a clean round hole. If a screw is in for a while before you go flat and causes a slice type of hole, you may have a problem, but most often a nail or screw makes a clean enough hole for a plug. The big advantage being that you...
I was on a trip recently and the refrigerator completely shut down. No light no nothing. After much seaching I found a little black reset button on what must be a thermal fuse attached to the flue. Pushing the button reset everything and it was fine for the rest of the trip. But on the way...
Get all new springs with at least one more leaf than you have now. Trust me 2008 Bighorn, broke spring, ruined two tires, repair bill $2100. Went to spring shop and bought my own springs with one extra leaf. They were Dayton springs and the arch was much more that original equipment. Raised the...
http://www.trailertiresandwheels.com/site/1284278/product/RG614 Here is a good source. Some places want nearly $400 each for the G614. I have these since my Star brand tires showed up this spring with hundreds of little cracks in the side walls.
Re: Has anyone notiiced??
I had about 15,000 on my last two remaining star tires. I just pulled it from winter storage and found hundreds of tiny cracks in the side walls. The first two where ruined by broken spings last summer. So now I have 4 goodyear 614's. I also found broken welds on the...
I have used the progressive adapter to plug into 20 amp and 30 amp and it works well, but won't work if the 20 amp is a ground fault plug with it is about 75% of the time. I have not found a way to override this, not sure if there is a way. So usually can't use my adapter.
I replaced mine with a sprayer hose from Lowes. I found that it matched just fine. The plastic housing had broken on mine. Just be sure to get on with a small enough sprayer head on it so it will fit in the little pocket and the door will shut.
