Temp adjust on the gas hot water heater?

Even if it is a new unit, if it has set any where very long at all, you can get critters in the combustion chamber.

    Sewer odor under sink!

If you look at your drain plumbing under the sink, you will find the trap or traps that go from the sink drains to the main drain line. At the main drain line, the trap should go into a tee fitting. At the top of the tee fitting you will find a one way vent. If this is where you are feeling...

Temp adjust on the gas hot water heater?

Check the color of the flame, if it is not blue, you need to have the burner cleaned. Also check for any nest in the burner chamber where the flame shoots in. If there is a blockage of any kind, it will affect the heating of the unit.

6 PT or 12 PT Socket Set

If you purchase high quality sockets, Snap-On, Mac, Matco, etc.. the 6 points are thinner wall and will out perform than their cheaper 6 point counter parts. I used to turn wrenches in a Kenworth shop and have a box full of 6 point sockets. I intentionally bought the 6 points over the 12 points...

dually air pressure pulling a 5th wheel

On my 05 Ram 3500 DRW, the door indicated a heavily loaded pressure and a light load pressure. It was 45 psi for light and 80 psi for heavy. I followed this and manage to have very even tire wear with rotating them every 7500 miles. My 08 and 2010 only have the heavy load rating. I run 45 in...

    Billboard(s) on Private Property

Depends on your jurisdiction. It doesn't go by how much income that comes off the property, the purpose is what determines the classification. It will likely become commercial depending on your jurisdiction, and if you are zoned for something else, you will have to go through planning and...

    tire pressure

All I can say is, remember the fiasco that Ford and Firestone had?? Firestone said 36 psi, Ford didn't like the ride so they said 28 psi. Remember what happened?? I would go with the tire manufacturer any day, every day. The manufactures have the engineers that designed and had them built...

    Brake controller wiring problem

Try removing the in bed plug from the system. If they used an after market bed harness, it is most likely plugged in behind the bumper plug. Remove it and plug your trailer into the bumper plug. Most trailer leads are long enough to reach over the tail gate, it is on mine. I have the bed...

Your feedback is request on offering storage in place of an oven in Landmark

Our 06 is set up with the micro/convection and cook top. It took some getting used to for the wife, mainly because she never used a convection oven before. After I think our 3 rd or 4 th trip, she got the hang of it and doesn't need the user manual any more. I built a second pull out drawer...

    A/C Leaking into BR

Check the mount bolts. If they get over tightened ( they are only supposed to be tightened to 14 lbs ), they will pull on the rivet-nuts excessively, causing them to pull loose in the pan above and allow the condensation to leak in. Remove the inside trim and start the unit, see if the water...

ATF: Bighorn - Refridgerator Hard to Open

If she is in and out of the fridge often, the air exchange causes a low pressure when it cools down and makes the door difficult to open. If you let it sit a few minutes after getting in it, it may open easier. If this is the case, it is normal.

    Front A/C frosts up...

Also check to see if the short piece of duct is intact and has no leaks. If it is leaking, it will go directly to the coil and cause you to freeze up prematurely. I have the same unit in our Landmark and always run the fan on low. We like it in the low 70's, high 60's when we sleep. Be in Ms...

What are the advantages of a WHD for the MPG?

Check and see if your Pathfinder has an auto leveling system, essentially rear air bags or air shocks. If it does, you will not see the rear of the vehicle sag, but you still will have a light front end. The purpose of a weight distributing hitch is to transfer hitch weight to the front axle...

A new record for terrible milage

For use with our set up, our best mileage is between 68-75 mph. 60-68 mph, the transmission hunts, locking it in 5th helps with the hunting, but either way drops the mileage. 50-60 we have to lock in 5th, mileage will stabilize but not as good at 70.

    Electrical System Upgrade Plan

You really don't want to put the inverter in the same compartment as the batteries. The batteries will off gas while being charged and discharged by the inverter. You will have the inverter in a corrosive and explosive environment. I would strongly encourage you to find another compartment!

Anode Rod, Magnesium or Aluminum ?

If it was aluminum, it would be useless because the water heater tank is aluminum also. The magnesium is softer and will erode before the tank.

What are the advantages of a WHD for the MPG?

Check your tow ratings a little closer, you will find to get the maximum rating you will need a weight distributing hitch.

Recommendations Needed for Awning Anchors and Deflapers

I too use 2 screw in dog stakes, or the picnic table if bolted down, or the front landing gear, etc.. I put a fair amount of tension on the ropes and never had a problem. I always leave the legs on the coach, I am 6' tall and we can walk under them with out any problem.

(Almost) New Edge M17 Owner question

You need to look at your towing capacity a little closer. It will most likely have to ratings, a lighter one and a heavier one. Most likely the heavier one will say "with a weight distributing hitch". Every vehicle tow specs that I have seen, and the receiver mounted on the vehicle, has two...

    Electrical System Upgrade Plan

Personally, I would not install the inverter between shore/gen power and the breaker panel. I would replace one of the breakers in the panel with a 30 amp and run it to your inverter, then to a sub panel and transfer the loads that you want available on the inverter to the sub panel.

King Pin Stablizers -- Yea or Nay?

If you have a Trail-Air or similar suspension on your king pin like we do, it will actually make things worse. Go with the strong arms on you jacks and rear stabilizers, better bang for the buck and self storing.

Can someone help me find out why fridge would not switch to LP

Try lighting the stove or water heater, this will help purge any air out of the system. Another thing to check, if the valve on the propane cylinder was open to quickly, you could have the excessive flow device tripped. Shut off the bottle, disconnect the line, reconnect the line and SLOOOOWLY...
