This works ONLY if you remain factory standard! The main problem with pulling is torque and pin weight on the axel. Dual wheels provide zero as far as pulling, in fact it pulls less (more weight), it allows for pin weight only, BUT not on the axel (only the wheels.) I guess most people believe...
We shoot them every weekend here. I use ONLY a .223 with a 1/9 twist and hit at about 575 yds every time. Had a custom 22-250 but the expense and the amount of shooting we do drove us away from it. We shoot rabbits (jacks) and chucks on odd weekends and call in the dogs on every other. We...
I carry a Sig Sauer .45 P220 with Hornady "Critical Defense" 185 grain rounds so I don't have to worry about flashlights and knives............come on, what are you going to do flash him, ask him to stop and then threaten him with a knife before you blow his head off? Wait a minute P238 .380 I...
Actually the best towing engine ever made was the true 7.3 Powerstroke which ended it's rule in 2000 and gave way to the absolute crap as the 2003 (most worthless powerstroke ever made) and future years. Want a real deisel get a cummins and hook it up with an Allison tranny on a Ford chassis...
I have driven the ALCAN since it was a gravel road. I have made 27 trips up the entire length and now intend on NEVER doing it again, the fun is gone. I worked for the AK fish and game and traveled the road back and forth for at least 10 trips. I flew for the Military and traveled it many...
Things happen to all machines, fix it, get over it and get on with life. DO NOT let one thing bother you so much! Ford, Chevy, Dodge all have problems and are repaired. You kind of sound like someone that expects perfection out of a non perfect machine>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>WOW!!!!
I was a UH-1C gunship pilot in Vietnam for two tours. My first was with the 282nd Assault Helicopter Company in DaNang and I flew UH-1Cs for the "Alleycats". My second was for the 48th Assault Helicopter Company flying also a UH-1C gunship for the "Jokers." I am ashamed to admit my bodycount...
There are no laws that I know of that govern private vehicles and weights....only suggestions. I pull my rig with one of my commercial business trucks so I do have to watch it but have never been pulled over to weigh.
Notice #5 about thermally induced destruction! This isn't my first trip around the Jake or exhaust brakes. I have driven them for years and have had many many problems with the EXHAUST brake.

Go to www.bankspower.com and check out "yes, buy thier own definition the "exhaust brake" that they manufacture! It is an exhaust brake, has been and always will be!
Be very careful of ANY exhaust brakes UNLESS factory. They will absolutely blow out your truck if not installed exactly right. After all the problems the aftermarket brakes have had and the problems they have created it is amazing to me that people still buy them!
BOY Bighurt, stay the He** away from the F450, holly crap what a waste of money! Had one, wait two and the best thing I ever did was get rid of them! Pulling at 6.5mpg sucks!
Well, usually a simply joke about the "mine is better" thing is funny, but I will say one thing and that is: If you think a GMC or Chevy is the answer for the towing thing in you life you better think just a little more!!!!!!!!! They are rated as the lower end of the trucks....OH don't listen...
Airborne....only two things fall from the sky Birdcrap and fools...............brave bastard!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Love the airborne.....tough as they come!!!!!!!!!
OH MAN STAY AWAY FROM THE ZOODAD.......IT IS NOT A COLD AIR INTAKE!!!!!!!!! Wthout a true cold air intake the power is reduced about 15%.............this in nothing more than an oiled filter with a bag over it..........Run away run away run away...........................do not even consider...
I agree....stock is great, but not the best. I am one of the fools that fell for the oiled filters and nearly paid the price. Only problem is when I attempted to go back to factory I was a fool again and dumped the plastic box which is about $350. I went on a search and found a Donaldson...
I got it figured out! Since this is the place to say mine is better than yours and mine can pull more I have decided to weigh in. I am going to have a Union Pacific puller (18,000 horse power) fitted with 20" wheels and WELD the 5th wheel to it.......think this is overkill? Do you think I will...
could be almost anything. I would be willing to bet it is not broken but maybe loose. I would guess seperation in the OSB (oriented strand board). If it is plywood it may be a football or a void in the lamination. It can be checked from the bottom......wouldn't worry too much. We fix many...
I bought a portable electric heater made by Martin (kind of spendy) and is used in Million dollar boats left in Storage in NW Washington (Gig Harbor, Port Ludlow and the likes.) They leave them in all winter and are very good at keeping the cold out. I keep it in the main living area in...
There is a reason you purchased your injectors for $199.00! Someday soon you will figure out the answer..............been there done that and will NEVER again!!!!!!!! If you are getting a 3 carrot diamond for $3.00 then a bell ought to be going off.
Leave a note in your vehicle so someone will know where to send the contents when you don't come back......................you can't be serious about going into Mexico......BEEN READING THE NEWS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
