Gee! I forgot all about this post. I got to thinking about this quite awhile after posting. I Remember us coming back from AZ one winter and going through Colo Springs on our way back ran into a 1 - 2 inch snow storm that was melting. When we got home the trailer was a mess! Now I am sure it was...
You can use one of these lead in kits or something similar and mount it directly out side of where your TV is located. If you want to use two satellite receivers you could install one for each TV because you are going to need two cables. Here is a link that has different styles of lead ins. On...
Wow! $25,000! Thats alot of moola! I figured our local dealer was less than $2000 more than the wholesale guys that were over 1000 miles away. It was worth it to us to be 30 minutes away from the dealer, plus they gave us my price on the trade in. I have seen folks get put on the back burner...
You cant tell much about a dealership until you make a few trips through their service department. Most salesman are vultures. But, will have to say that the guys at Windish RV in Longmont, CO are pretty good guys to deal with. It really helps if you are an experienced RV owner and know your...
We got mice last year. Dryer sheets did NOTHING to keep them out. We bought a couple of those soundtronic mouse deterrents. NOTHING. Mouse traps caught 'em though. I know a guy that bought one of those electric battery operated mouse traps Mouse trap that he put is garage after nothing else...
They make those portable A/C's that you can set in the closet and vent out a window or dryer vent that dont take much power that may run with your setup. A few on this forum have done this with good results. Maybe they will chime in.
EXCELLENT write up Jim! Try getting that info from Keystone or any of the other key players! I am glad they quit playing hide and seek with that vacuum breaker. An "atta boy" to Heartland! I with draw my $100 bill offer, I may use it to buy a brass valve like Superduty. ;)
Maybe I am missing something but cant one of these be used. Just screw in on the back of the inlet fitting in the UDS. Like wdk450 you can screw it on the end of your hose, but the problem then would be getting folks to use it.
Yes I know that. Did you see my little winky face? I don't think code says you have to hide the valve up where it can not be found and flood the whole trailer when it fails. Cant it be put behind the UDS where is can easily be seen and do minamal damage if it should fail? Also my guess is that...
I have one of those wands that I used on my truck camper. Worked well. The 3055 has an elbow below the toilet that wont allow use of the wand. Maybe the new 3610 has the toilet over the tank and I will have a straight shot with a wand?
If you can see the fill hose and it is running up hill cant you just cut it off a tad bit? I went through all the compartments and shorted hoses and wires. When I was done I could have built another Bighorn with what was left.:D
ATTENTION ALL HEARTLAND LINE WORKERS/PLUMBERS: I have a $100 bill to be sent to the the employee that will eliminate the black flush check valve on my 3610RE that will be built in the next few weeks! Just run my line right straight down from the UDS to the tank! ;) This "check valve" has seemed...
Make sure you do the air flow mods. They are a sticky on the Bighorn section. I wonder if you could run one of those small Coleman Polar cubs in the bed room. Dont think they take as much power.
Our 06 gave us nightmares at first. One of the big problems is the dealer did **** poor fixes. I confess I did expect perfection after unloading the savings account on it. I am hoping ours comes in with minimal problems and Heartland being on it third dealer in this area we ended up with a good...
Re: Help!
Yes circuit breaker. Mine kept stopping right when it was new. Wait a few moments and it should reset. Unless it totally burned out then you will have the trace the wires and jump across the terminals with a wire or such. The dealer replaced the breaker on my first warranty service.
A savings account is money you put in the bank and they pay you a whopping .7%! They probably will send us a bill for storing my money. Then it goes in the sock under the mattress!
Thanks for the update. We went to the dealers to look at the unit they had is stock to prepare myself for some of my tuning. I found the Cabinets and the rear desk look closer to mahogany like you say. The table and chairs look more cherry. Conclusion: guess it wont matter as long as it table I...
Just for clarification. I did not heat up the brakes until they start to smoke but you could definitely smell them standing beside the trailer. I know it seems like the wrong thing to do but putting china brakes on something ain't the best either! It worked and I will do it to the new one when...
This was my fix but it may not be what you are looking for. I had poor brakes on the trailer for about 3 years adjusted them the best I could. Played with the brake controller. Finally took it to a commercial trailer repair shop because I thought they might have had grease on them or something...
Re: Where's the thermostat
Gawd! I hope I dont get the remote! Renee still has trouble with the TV! Besides I already bought the new Hunter and installed the fan switch for the new one thats coming.
We ordered the over priced bedroom TV option. BUT, it came with a mount in the bedroom and a mount in the basement. With the price of mounts it was probably a wash but I aint got to do the install. LOL. Besides the dealer wanted my trade more than he wanted an outright sale so I ordered every...
