    Broken Awning Arm

I was able to order directly from Carefree on Wednesday and the part arrived Thursday at 1:00pm, in Orlando, FL. I hope the installation goes as easily!

    Broken Awning Arm

Mike, I have been on Carefree's website and they have done a good job of hiding their telephone number. I have emailed them, and will hopefully hear from them soon. But, from their website, it appears that I may have to go through a dealer. Do you have any experience with ordering from them...

    Broken Awning Arm

Thanks, Mike. I have been on their website and it wasn't very helpful. But, I will call them Monday and hopefully be able to order the part. I'll let you know how it goes...

    Broken Awning Arm

Thanks, Jeff. That sounds like the same situation as me. My awning is a different brand however, but hopefully I can order the replacement. The brand is "casual Colorado" or something similar.

    Broken Awning Arm

Good friends borrowed my RW415. Big winds, rain=broken awning arm, left side on the main awning. It appears that the main roller mechanism is okay, but the entire left arm mechanism is destroyed and needs to be replaced. Anyone with experience with this?

    Hydraulic issue... pump cutting out?

Replacing the 50amp auto reset breaker has restored function to the front legs of my Road Warrior. Can you post the link to the TSB from Jayco? I am also interested in the 80amp breaker setup. Steve, on the cable coming into the new breaker, where did it originate? From your photos, I cannot...

Out with the Blowmax / In with the G614's

Got mine for my RW415 last summer at my local Discount Tires store in Clermont, Florida, and couldn't be happier. Great service; they plug my passenger car tires for free. My rig is very long and they accommodated it well. After changing a Blowmax blowout on the side of I-95 with my son, I am...

I am having the same issue with my Road Warrior. Did this fix your problem?

4 year old Goodyear G614 failed - Goodyear paid for damages

I am about to leave on our first long camping trip since purchasing 6 new Goodyear G614's for my RW415. This thread gives me great reassurance about the decision to purchase. And, thanks for sharing the telephone number. Although a member of the "Blowmax Club", I am glad I won't be participating...

    Battery Cut off switch

I have a RW415 and the battery cutoff switch is inside the garage on the door side of the camper. It is located in the upper right corner of the forward wall. I have all the manuals and it still doesn't talk about the switch. I have also heard that even with that switch turned off, some...

    Battery not charging

I have had some very similar issues with my RW415, which I have had for 2 years. This forum, and some of the same authors of these posts, have been very helpful for me. Please keep the information coming, and the more detail the better. Photos and links are great. Thanks!

New G614 Tires Photo!! Say Goodbye Blowmax

After my recent Blowmax blowout, I'm thrilled to receive my set of Goodyear G614's today for my RW415. The manager at my local Discount Tire store told me that he has had many inquiries about these tires. I wonder why? He was also well versed in 17.5" wheel changes and G114 tires. Perhaps they...

Who else owns a Road Warrior

I have a RW415, and also had a Towmax ("Blowmax") on I-95 a couple of weeks ago. Please see my thread under the Tires section of the forum if you would like to see the photo. As a new owner, I wish I would have known about this issue before. I would have gladly upgraded my tires initially. I'm...

No Shore Power - Help Please!

Thanks a bunch for the good advice. After my experience with the ATS, it's probably best to protect the expensive components and keep my battery charged separately. (This camper came with only one battery. After reading in the 12 volt section, I may need to upgrade that soon).

ATF: Road Warrior - TowMax Tire Failures

See my thread under Tires Section, photos of my first Blomax blowout. My RW415 will be getting G614's next week. Ridiculous situation that all new owners are put through. I would buy quality and longevity any day. If only I knew before I took delivery of my camper.

No Shore Power - Help Please!

I am now back from my camping trip and have my camper back in storage. Prior to this transfer switch failure, I had the camper plugged into a standard 15amp 120volt outlet just to keep the battery charged. Is it possible to use my Surge Guard 34750, 50 amp protector with this outlet? Looking...

    My first Blowmax blowout: photo

Ordered Goodyear G614 tires yesterday, and surprisingly, none available in central Florida. They are coming from Arizona. My local Discount Tire store has given me excellent service over the years, so I wanted to give them the business. The salesman said they had many calls about them. I did not...

    Question on 17.5" wheel choice

Thanks guys for the info, I'm starting my search for new wheels and tires this week. My thread was the one showing the photos from my first Blomax blowout. I don't ever want a repeat of that tire changing event on the side of I-95. A great, ethical camper salesman would have educated me about...

    My first Blowmax blowout: photo

The tires were all checked that morning at 80psi. The camper was lightly loaded, because it was only a 4 day trip. Remember that the Road Warrior 415 is triple axle, 18,000 pounds dry. I had the cruise control set at 65mph.

    My first Blowmax blowout: photo

Thanks, Jim, for the info and links. I'm at work now, so I don't have time to research the websites, but I will. The current Blomax tires are 235/80/16. The Road Warrior 415 is 18,000 pounds dry. I have about 20 gallons of gas in the tank, and probably about 20 gallons of water. Only light load...

    My first Blowmax blowout: photo

thanks for the great information and links. For my triple axle camper, the spacing between the wheels is tight. For the 17.5" wheels and G114 215/75/17.5 tires is the outside diameter the same as the stock blomax tires?

    My first Blowmax blowout: photo

Photo says it all. I have Road Warrior 415, less than 2 years old. Took time checking over camper prior to 3 hour trip to park. 80 psi. Explosion of the tire took off the fender, but, thankfully, slideout mechanism is okay. Will be getting six new tires when I return home. Reading this forum...

No Shore Power - Help Please!

SOLVED! Thanks for all of the help! The transfer switch was bad. The generator side worked fine, but the shore line side was bad. It was stuck in the non-actuated position, so no power was getting out of the switch. It was a PD52 (Progressive Dynamics), and was less than two years old. I put in...

No Shore Power - Help Please!

Thanks, Dan. L1 measured 118 volts, L2 119 volts at the end of the cable prior to the plug. Do you think that would cause the transfer switch not to actuate?

Thanks, Dave. I will. Is there anything else between the transfer switch and the shore line plug?

No Shore Power - Help Please!

Yep, plug is okay. It seems that power is not getting from the plug to the camper. As I mentioned before, the transfer switch works for the generator, but does not actuate for the shore power. Does that sound like a bad transfer switch? Is there anything between the shore power plug and the...

No Shore Power - Help Please!

I have Roadwarrior 415. Just got out of storage, tried to connect to 50amp shore power but no power in camper. Battery and 12 volt system works. Generator works and I hear the transfer switch (Progressive Dynamics Model PD52) click on, and I have 120 volts in camper. I have tested L1 and L2 at...

Landing gear switch broken help pls FIXED!

The OEM switch is cheaply made. Mine broke on my Road Warrior after only a few months. It never happens at a good time. I replaced the DPDT switch with a better marine grade one, and I always carry a spare now. It seems that we have to carry spares of many things!

Trailer batteries are not charging from my vehicle.

I recently found that a little corrosion on the negative battery post, even though to the eye it looked ok, can cause erratic testing and charging. Clean connections might be a simple fix. My camper battery was one year old and was charging from the shore power but would not power the 12 volt...

    Completely Dead Battery

MYSTERY SOLVED. The 12 volt block diagram was very helpful. All breakers were good as was the converter. Noticed some sparks from the negative battery post when I would use the voltmeter. Also noticed red tinted varnish or equivalent on the battery posts and connectors. Could it be that simple...

    Completely Dead Battery

I discovered the issue because none of the 12 volt systems would work with the camper unplugged. When I plugged it into my truck, or shore power everything works fine. I will check again, and I appreciate the good photo, but none of the breakers had that little button. I will also check the...

    Completely Dead Battery

So, on Saturday I took the block diagram and volt meter. I did find the battery disconnect switch in the basement, and it was on. The battery has 12.2 volts. None of the 12 volt circuit breakers has a maual reset switch. Do these go bad? Has anyone had this problem? Thanks for the help!

    Completely Dead Battery

Thanks for all of the good advice. The 12 volt block diagram and diagnostics looks very helpful. The generator seems to take up all of the space...

    Completely Dead Battery

I have had my Road Warrior for a year, and still learning about it. Recently had annual servicing done, and now battery is completely dead. Apparently no battery disconnect switch. Couple of waste tank questions

I also have a Road Warrior 415. I started a thread a few days ago listed 2 above on the "Waste Water Systems". Tanks and valves layout for Road Warrior 415

Spoke with Mike at Heartland CS and he confirmed that the rear toilet and sink go into the second grey tank. He agreed that the labeling is not accurate. In fact, he said that the "Grey 2" meter on the main panel is usually dead and not actually hooked up to the second grey tank! There is a...

Tanks and valves layout for Road Warrior 415

Went to that link. I had clear elbow on the rear dump pipe and clearly saw toilet paper and brown water come out when i pulled the single handle. Took a hose through one of the rear windows and into the toilet and the water comes out. I'm calling Heartland in the morning. I'll post their...

Tanks and valves layout for Road Warrior 415

Still learning about the Road Warrior 415. There are two dump pipes. The front one has two valves which are unlabled. The back has a single valve labeled "Grey 2". The panel inside has three gauges, Grey 1, Grey 2, and Black. The problem arises because the rear toilet drains out the rear dump...

    Jensen AWM-970 Dead

I just added a 120volt Sony home theater system since I could not play BluRay discs on the Jensen unit. I went to the recent Tampa RV show and all of the campers I looked at had 120volt systems, and some had additional 12volt music systems. The entire home theater unit, including speakers and...
