FIXED: 12 V Power Supply low

Re: 12 v Power Supply low. Jim, I know that your refer is different than mine (RM1350IM) but the 5 amp fuse on the control board is for the 120 V side of the feed to the board and the 3 amp fuse is to the 12 V side of the board. I have an inline 4 amp GM type of fuse in the 12 V feed...

    Wheel Bearing Grease

You are correct in your understanding about not mixing types of grease. Synthetic grease is not compatible with the normal moly based NLG #2 greases. I have been using the Lippert recommended grease that is compatible with the grease that came in the hubs from Lippert. I am currently in the...

    Electric landing gear stops/starts

    Refrigerator Stopped Cooling

Doug, Where did you purchase the Thermal Mastic? Does it come in a tube or container? Is this something similiar to what is used by Thermon Corp. for heat transfer on such things as heat tracing with steam or electric tape?

    slides stop pulling in

I am experiencing the same problem when taking in the last slide when it is about 2/3 of the way in. Wait a about 15 seconds and the pump will start again. This has just started since the weather has turned cooler/colder. I normally have the RV hooked to shore power when moving the slides so...

    Torque your Nuts!

Peter, FYI - Torque wrenches are not all the same. I bought a 1/2" drive torque wrench to keep in the truck from Harbor Freight for the sole purpose of having it available while on the road. Little did I know that the calibration and resulting torque value of a given setting was way...

    Torque your Nuts!

The assembly paste that I made reference to is Dow Corning Molycote G-n assembly paste, see Dow Cornings website for technical specification and application. Yes, it is a lubricant and yes it will allow, via lubrication, to increase the bolt tension/stretch of the stud at the torque value...

    Torque your Nuts!

The "assembly paste" that I made reference to is not a Loctite product. It doesn't lock the threads, but lubricates. The paste is a lubricant that is formulated for assembly of fastener threads. I will post the Dow Corning product number in a few days, after I return home.

    Torque your Nuts!

Threads (nuts or studs - fine or coarse) when tightened are in effect sliding on each of the metal surfaces. When threads are not lubricated can have a high coefficient of friction. This is especially true on new threads. All machine cut threads are subject to the quality of the machines...

Dometic 2-way refrigerator not running on electric

Since John has covered the Hot Water heater in sufficient detail, I will offer this suggest on the refer problem, i.e., in order to make sure that you have power to the refer outlet plug in a work light. If no power to the light and the bathroom GFI outlet has power, the problem is in the...

Dometic 2-way refrigerator not running on electric

Ron, Don't know about your 120 VAC power supply, but some of the 2009 BH trailers refer 120 Volt wiring is fed from the bathroom GFI. This GFI supplies power to the bathroom, kitchen and outside plugs, code requires GFI anywhere water is present. The control board also contains a fuse on...

Bradley, Your question as to why there is not a shutoff valve at the reaf of the refer is very valid. After going through a similiar circumstance, I placed a small 1/4" valve about 6" from the icemaker solenoid valve located at the rear and bottom of the refer. I also replaced the...

Backing into a tight 90 degree opening?

Not sure about 5th wheel trailers, but back in my former life as a design engineer, we had to be careful in designing a road turning radius for trailer trucks that had to back into a loading or unloading spot. You can back a big rig into a location that cannot be extracted by forward movement...

Need wiring diagram/info for wiring 30 amp cord to 50 amp female marine plug

    LED Stop & Directional Lights

    1350 interior light bulb

My Dometic RM1350 manual shows a pt. no. 2007290006 for the 10 watt 12 VDC lamp. I would recommend checking with Radio Shack to see if they have a replacement bulb, they have a varity of bulbs that you will not find in the Big Box stores. Lowe's also has some bulbs that might fit this application.

    Dometic 4-door refrig. with auto-lock

Brad, Along with others, I have experienced the same water leak as you have noted. If your refer is in a slide, the water line up to the solenoid is subject to ware and tare from the slide moving in and out. I my case, the 1/4 poly line from behind the UDC that goes to the refer had...

    New 5th wheel owner

Deborah, As noted by Ray, please have the RV dealer do the first winterizing of your unit. Also, have the dealer to exercise the 3-way valves in your presence so that you know that they are working properly. The 3-way valves, in the UDC, as supplied on a lot of the RV's have a problem...

Replacement hose for the flexible 1/2 inch hose

Don't know about the water pipe routing in the Landmark's but in my BH, the water lines from the UDC if made from PEX poly pipe would reqire a lot of fittings to pipe up to the 3-way valves and the water pump.
