Nice support that should transfer the load nicely.
I don't have a ladder yet but I take it they are aluminum? I wonder what a welder would charge to weld the rungs to the rails? Then the end caps would be purely decorative.
If I had one, I would weld mine up. I was interested in the...
Same here. I have 1400/14000 model and love the simplicity. I didn't care for the mounting system of the Reese hitch. All the drilled holes in the tongue was not for me.
From the HD website for the 14' Ultra Limited...
Weight, In Running Order
896 lb.
Just for giggles the 14' Goldwing in same trim is 900-906 ready to ride.
Thanks for mentioning that! I forgot all about the break-a-way's battery and while I would likely had the switch "on" when travelling that could have caused me some grief in the future. I will likely not make any changes and just make sure the switch is "on" when traveling. So far I have been...
My Torque 290 didn't come with a battery disconnect switch from Heartland. Not a real problem but something I wanted to add so long term storage didn't cause any problems with depleting the battery.
I used a piece of scrap aluminum and a disconnect switch from HF. The switch is not the best...
You didn't ask for my reply but your problem seems to be directly related to your dealer.
It is their responsibility to get approval for any repairs and then perform the repairs to Heartlands standards.
While you might think Heartland is ducking you they might have no idea there are more...
I have no idea what I will be doing tomorrow let alone October however I would like to attend a Rally.
My only question is how are children perceived at these things? A 7 and 10 year old specifically.
They are great kids, respectful and well behaved but they are children none the less.
Please...
RvBuddy not sure on which brands of hitches would fit. I was so sure the Equa-l-izer would fit I bought it from a online wholesaler and I was really shocked that the hitch will not fit as-is. I love the hitch so far and I wouldn't change anything if I did it again but I really think this is a...
I am not sure the reason for the paragraph issue but I had the same problem and switching to the "Chrome" browser fixed it. Sorry that's all I have to offer for that.
As to the humidity I have thought if humidity becomes a problem for me I electric dehumidifer might be a good solution, it...
This is all after the fact information as I already resolved the issue but not without some serious fabrication.
On my TQ290 I picked up earlier this month I ran into a serious problem. After the PDI/walkthrough I set about installing the Equa-l-izer hitch brackets. I had asked for the dealer...
Jim you are right, I have a 30 amp trailer and thus ordered a 30 amp cord.
I am pretty versed in electrical theory and voltage drop etc. I was concerned with getting a "too" long cord.
I really would rather have a 50 foot shore power cord instead of a extension, but I reasoned a 25' extension...
And I bet your right about the sharing knowledge. I usually work out all the gizmos for them and I have a real passion for modifying things. I have allot planned for the trailer to make it mine, and the competition between my FIL and his friend to outdo each other has become fierce. I...
Good deal, I will order up a 25' extension and we'll see how it goes. The place we will be camping the most is a off road park not a "campground" so their power connections are not in the correct spot. Two 25' cords should cover it though.
Have I said I am excited yet? :D
And hopefully the last brand question I have for you guys...
The shore power cord, will it have one with the trailer from the factory?
If it is included what will the length be?
Thanks again.
Jim, Thanks for the invite! I joined the HOC today at the Introductory level and I plan to go for the full membership down the road.
I found the guides a couple of weeks ago and I was blown away at the content created there by the members of the forum.
I am extremely new to RV'ing only...
