We have been looking at ordering a Newport this winter. I was at the dealer the other day doing a walk through on the Newport and Charleston and my salesman said that you cannot get a unit any longer with the decals....you MUST get at least the particle body paint ( $7,999 option on latest MSRP...
All of those sound like positive changes. I was just thinking they either needed to open up the knee space or flip the lower cabinets and knee space. I know the way it was set up I would not want to work here.....note enough "elbow" room to the left side.
I think the perfect rig would have the front part of the Newport all the way back to the 1/2 bath. From that point on it would have the living area of the Charleston. Now that would be AWESOME! Any chance we might see a floor plan like this? Would anyone else like to see this rig?
I wish they would put the front half of the Newport (including the 1/2 bath) and the back half of the Charleston together.......now that would be an awesome Landmark!!!
I ordered them online. The delivery was very prompt. They have several styles to choose from. They are a bit pricey but easy to work with and go up quickly as well as look really nice!
I used the Smart Tiles in my current rig, both in the kitchen area and bath. I installed them last summer and they did perfect over the winter and we are in Michigan so we are very cold in the winter months. I did the backsplash behind the bath sink as well as above the shower and love it. I...
Thank you everyone for your responses. We will not be hauling this unit as we just live in it during the summer months so not sure if it is something we would need but will consider it. :-)
We are looking at ordering a Newport in the next couple months. We have never had a rig with a power awning before and noticed that there is choice between a "power awning" and a " alumi-guard awning". Could someone please tell me the difference between the two.....other than the price?
I know this is a bit off the subject but along the same line.....where might I find what the actual construction materials are in the Landmark units. I am not finding anything even in the brochures that I received from the dealer :(
Thank you everyone for taking the time to comment. We are really leaning heavy towards this rig and I am starting to get excited about placing our order. We have decided to wait until after October to order. I am hoping that Heartland will work with us on a couple small items that we would like...
wdk450.....That is a great thing to know that you have the option to get service from who you want to. I would for the most part prefer an independent service person or the factory then the dealer to do repairs.
I don't mean to sound "dumb" but what does this mean in regards to the construction? I have searched the Heartland website and can't seam to find anything on it.
No one sent me RoadJunkie.....I Know that there are no promises or grantees' that you will be without problems with any rig we might decide on, but is very important to us is how the factory stands behind the product and I have read some real horror stories on that as well.
We are looking at the Newport as our possible retirement rig but in doing some research online I am a bit scared about all the posts that I have come across on the poor workmanship and warranty on these units. It seems several people have experienced water-line problems and leaks. Starting to...
