    Tow Vehicle

We tow our 3670RL with a 2012 Chevy Silverado 2500HD (Duramax & Allison transmission). We've pulled over 25,000 miles up and down the Rockies, Sierras, Cascades, etc as well as through deserts with no problems. We did get the tow package which includes engine braking.

It's DARK in here..how about more skylights?

Why don't you paint the cabinets? Skylights do let in more light, but also more heat. So, in a trailer where you're already keeping light out of the windows due to heat, you're exacerbating the heat problem.

    What's your favorite carry weapon?

We've never had to use it, but we'd rather have it and not need it than need it and not have it.

Now Where Did I Leave That Checklist?

That's why we use the truck keys. We ain't going nowhere without them!!! Notes or flags won't stop us from leaving. Truck keys, on the other hand......

Now Where Did I Leave That Checklist?

Best advice I got on the antenna - hang your keys or something else you can't leave without from the crank. Working for us almost 4 years. Martha

Great experience with Trailer Tires and Wheels

Our encounters with Tred-it were not positive. We understand what porthole means, unfortunately.

Now Where Did I Leave That Checklist?

Saw a Class A heading out one morning in Missouri with the TV antenna fully extended. People were trying to wave it down, but they kept rolling - pulling down telephone lines which drug down a pole with an solar light. At this point, the antenna broke off and fell to the ground. They never...

Got Big horn home ! Been working on it since !

Have you been in contact with Heartland? We've found them very easy to work with and very concerned about any issues you find. Good luck. Hope you have many years of fun.

Got Big horn home ! Been working on it since !

Oh my. Whenever someone proclaims themselves to know more than I, I ask them how they know how much I know. Heartland has always been easy to work with we've found. Was this a new trailer?

    Myrtle Beach heat!

We were just down in Charleston over the weekend. Our acs ran nonstop. Ours is older, but it cooled us out west (Nevada, Arizona, NM, Texas) than back here. Humidity? Not sure. Wish I could be more help. Martha

    Myrtle Beach heat!

It's hot here - no two ways about it. We have learned to keep our shades drawn so the sun doesn't heat it up more. Do you have dual panes windows?? Martha

Ac blows cool air never shuts off and won't cool? Help?

We keep the shades closed where the sun shines in. It keeps it cooler inside. Not familiar with your set up, but our bedroom is in the front of the trailer with our closets in the nose. We slightly open those doors to let the hot air dissipate and keep them open so it doesn't build up again...

    Finishing up our Planning

We enjoyed the Nuclear Museum also and it's relatively close to a nice KOA. We also went to the aquarium and botanical gardens which were okay.

    New Bighorn Owner

Welcome!! Dealers are a dime a dozen. What makes Heartland stand out, in our opinion, is their concern for you if you have any issues. From what we've heard from many owners of other brands, the manufacturer disappears. Heartland has always been very helpful to us whether we've had a question...

ATF: Landmark - Stacked Washer and Dryer Installation

Sounds like the dealer has a problem. Our Splendide was installed by our dealer and it's traveled highways and byways 2.5 times (currently in Las Vegas) across country. We've had no problems with tipping anywhere and we've gone up and down some steep inclines. Personally, I'd get the dealer on...

I used to champion Heartland Service... now having doubts

We don't put up with it in our RV - we fix whatever the issue is and keep enjoying life. As we said before, every RV manufacturer has problems with units. If there were no problems, there would be no need for warranties. But we're having too much fun traveling to dwell on issues that can be or...

I used to champion Heartland Service... now having doubts

We had a few things fixed under warranty and we paid nothing. We told the dealer that under warranty meant that the items would paid for by the manufacturer. The dealer whined about not enough time being allowed for the repair, but we explained that perhaps they needed to hire more competent...

What to do with all of our "stuff"?

We had our sons, their better 99%s, and the grandkids over one weekend. We also had the other family members in the area over the next. We'd tagged items we were keeping for our retirement home. Then we told everyone to walk through the house and tag what they wanted. The grandchildren were...
