If you don't remember what something does, or if you come up questions, post your question here. Chances are that someone can answer you. We've had a lot of questions through the years and can tell you that your fellow Heartland owners will do everything they can to help. Oh, and welcome to...
Re: New Floor Plans?
Ours has all that. Guess the options changed between yours and ours. Closet and pantry may not be larger, but we're happy with the size.
We used it (museum putty) onboard our boats to secure lamps and other items while underway and we use it in our BH. We also use it to assist in securing pictures and mirrors to the walls. Never found a residue that wasn't easily removable by blotting with new museum putty. We've used it for at...
We used a mail forwarding system also. It worked out well for our meds. We'd notify the campground office that we were expecting a package and never once had a problem.
I can understand your frustration - from how the trailer was described to you you were expecting it to be in pristine condition. Some things have occurred to me as I read your postings.
The delamination you saw at first - was that where the big area shown in the posted happened?
Caulking has...
First of all, yikes!! Secondly, call Heartland and find out when parts were ordered and what was requested. If it was our rig, I'd take a ride to the dealer to look at and take pictures of the damage. I'd make sure that I had the details of damages written out. Sure you've already thought of...
We've always cycled toys - 5 or 6 put away for a couple of weeks and when they come back out (with 5 or 6 disappearing), it's SO exciting! Even the 8 year old pug is thrilled with the "new" toys in the basket.
Larry,
I think everyone on the forum can understand your disappointment and frustration. You make a large purchase and expect everything to be perfect. When your expectations fall far short in reality of course you're angry.
Yes, it's difficult for many owners on the forum to relate to your...
We stayed in Rapid City where we could drive easily to not just Mt Rushmore, but Sturgis, Crazy Horse, and Custer State Park. We stayed at Lazy J RV Park, but this was 3 years ago, so can't tell you what it's like now. We were there for 2 weeks.
We love our 2013 3670RL also. The counter space was one of the reasons we chose it also. We lived in ours full-time for only 13 months, but we still enjoy traveling a few weeks or months each year. Word of advice - make sure your tires aren't Towmax!!
Congrats and safe travels!!
We had the best results by asking the camp hosts for recommendations. We told them that we would be posting a review (which we did) about the quality of the work done.
We have had Good Sam since Oct 2012. We used it the first time in the desert in Nevada when we blew a tire. I had problems getting phone service, but they were there in an hour. We've used since and have had equally great response.
It's a shame you have to double check people's statements and work. Before retirement, one of my staff had an issue with the truth. Her excuse was that it hurt no one because they were "little" fibs. Wrong - and she found herself seeking an alternative career.
I'd give Heartland a call with the VIN handy and ask them what's going on and if I can shed light on any questions they have. Would let you have both sides of the situation and would let everyone know that you're actively involved and concerned about resolution. Just my 2¢ worth.
We remember how all we wanted to do at the dealer's was to "hook 'er up" and get on the road. But we took our time, found 95% of the small problems (no major) and thoroughly checked the fixes before we completed the sale.
Just observing that your 2 major (& 1 minor) issues that revolve...
If it was me, I'd show the dealer the one you've found here and theirs side by side and ask for explanation of the differences. If they push back or fumble for answers, I'd take my business elsewhere.
Martha
We watch for low branches in campgrounds and double check tunnel and overpass heights on any secondary roads. Interior height isn't a problem for our 6'3" - 6'5" kids & grandkids.
