When I store our BC for the winter months I do park it up on lengths of 2X10. Our storage area has crushed rock for a substrate. If we are travelling I only use wood blocks as needed for levelling.
A couple of weeks ago I made my first purchase from RVupgrades.....50 amp Progressive Hard Wire EMS. Great price....fast shipping.....BUT.....they shipped a 30 amp model! Called them and informed them of the mistake.....Withing 48 hours I had the proper model! They were very responsive and I...

A friend from way back in High School sent this to me. It was very interesting....Give it a try and let us know how you do! My results were:

Re: ATF: Bighorn - Bully Dog or Edge
I run an Edge on my Cummins......Set to level 2. I like the simplicity of the Edge and I was able to get it from another forum for a great price....so it is the only one I am familiar with. It has helped keep the CTD in the power range and it even helped...
Don,
I've considered using the interlocking squares but was concerned about items catching and tearing into the material. What has you experience been?
Randy
We decide where we are going together......then I make reservations, get the truck and BC ready and then do the driving! Of course I am the one that is retired....so while I do my thing....DW is working to help make it all possible. :D
I have to agree with previous posts......Flashing or steady lights would just be another sorce of "campground pollution"!
The only post that really made sense to me was from porthole....set up for an emergency in case you had to leave the trailer parked on the side of the road.
The harness we use is like the one posted in the photo by truknutt. Another reason that I like the harnesses is that if there was an accident, I would rather have my dogs remain secure in the vehicle as opposed to being possibly thrown around the cab....We buckle up and so do they!
Here is a link showing the "play yard" that we use. Each panel is 24" wide by 48" tall and there are 8 panels in each unit....we connect two units for our Beagles. It is very easy to set up and it stores very easily in the front compartment of the BC. We only have our dogs in the "yard" when...
Our two Beagles ride in the back seat of the pickup......one on each side. They wear harnesses that have ends that can be inserted in the seatbelt buckle. They have enough length to them so that they can stand up and look out the side windows and lie down comfortably. While they are "buckled"...
Last year when we rewired the house, I added surge suppresion at the service panel........Still kept suppressors on all the AV and computer equipement....including telephone lines that supply internet service. Much cheaper to double up on the protection than to replace expensive electronic gear.
On my TST 507 when I am not towing the trailer, it is very easy to turn off the monitoring of the trailer tires. If you hold down the "mode" and "-" button together for about 6 seconds, the tow tires will not show up on the monitor. When I hook back up to the trailer and I need to resume...
I had done a search earlier on the Internet and saw they were listed on the Lippert components site: http://www.lippertcomponents.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=291%3Anever-fail-bushings&catid=34%3Aproducts&Itemid=267
Yes it will work........and move a lot more air with very little noise! I replaced out small/noisy bathroom fan last summer while on one of our trips after getting tired of listening to the drone of the fan......quick and very simple modification that I would highly recommend.
Second on the Boesheild........Great product! I use it on the truck and trailer but, main use is on my wood working tools. Great on table saw and planer tops as well as saw blades. Great versatile product.......I always have a can in the truck box.
Bill;
If the time does come to have it done....I strongly recommend doing some serious Pre-Hab. My surgeon told me that the knee needed to be replaced in September. I asked to put the surgery off unitl January so that I could strenghten my leg. I went to the gym five days a week and walked...
I had to send my TST monitor in under warranty and the service was great! When I received the replacement monitor the antenae connection was loose......Called and spoke with Abby about it........2 days later I had a new antenae!
Great products and excellant service.......Great company and...
Just wondering.......... Does this unit give off any heat at all?? I guess I would be concerned about mounting an electrical device by wrapping 3 sides of it in foam......Could this be a possible fire hazard??
I am just posing the question as I amd not familiar with the unit and am considering...
Two weeks ago I became the proud owner of a brand new Stryker Triathalon. I hope to get many miles out of it, but I'm still trying to break it in! Built using the latest in ceramic and plastic technology along with the tried and proven strength of titanium......It should be the last one I'll...
I would have to agree.......Live in Lubbock and think this is the best we have to offer. The KOA is outside of town and has a lot of long term residents that do not take much pride in their sites.....Not really the best. The RV parks here are really for overnight stays or maybe a "football...
I'm glad that they are seperating.....Many of the shows have been taken over by the boating industry, fine if you are interested in a boat!
Wish that we were going to attend.....Already have plans for that time frame.....New "point of articulation" to be "installed" replacing my right knee on...
May all members of the Heartland Family have a very safe and Blessed Christmas, and may 2012 fulfill all your needs for Health and Happiness!
Randy & Mary
Every year around Christmas, I usually treat myself to some sort of "goody" for the truck or the RV. This year I have to be more practical.....Still thinking about "travel" related products....but......Not my usual do to my upcoming knee replacement on Jan 5th!
This year I had to go with the...
I do 99% of our cooking outside......so I built a box out of some scraps of oak that fits in the storage area behind the stove. It has a fold down handle on it so it is easy to remove and take out to the picnic table or grilling area. I've been doing it this way for years and usually travel...
I place them around the coach on the floor, inside the cabinets, inside the closet and in the storage compartments. Not really sure how many I use......one box of Bounce sheets will do it.
Another good method is to place peppermint oil on cotton swabs and then place them on paper plates to...
With my pending knee replacement in January, we had planned on getting in at least two trips this fall and winter. Unfortunately, we just found out that the DW needs to have surgery next week that will keep her out of commission for 4 to 6 weeks! That will take us right up to my...
It does not take a lot to get the job done. You will have more than enough to do your rig.......Maybe even 4 - 5 times.....based on my experience, that is!
About thiry years ago, while working in the Zoo Business, I was "kicked" by an elephant that we were treating. Through the years I have had 4 arthroscopic surgeries on the knee and a few years of Syn Visc injections every six months to keep me going. About two months ago, my Ortho Surgeon said...
I noticed that this post has popped up again......I'm not sure that everyone understood that this was meant only for a LAUGH :D this was in no way ever meant to have any actual validity!
Being a good "Boy Scout" I rarely use any type of "artificial" fire starters........But I like your idea!! Might have to make a batch of your "sandwhiches" and hide them and carefully slip them into the fire grate.......When no one is looking
